Halcyon vs. Halcyon!

Battle of the songs named Halcyon. I've decided not to include the new andy moor tune as it doesn't come close to these two classics...

PS. Orbital's original version (11:05) is titled just Halcyon, the album remake (9:27) ended up as Halcyon + On + On.

orbital wins hands down IMO. chicane's halcyon is good too though. but i'd even go as far as saying that chicane ripped his trademark sound from orbital's halcyon + on + on, as when i first heard it i thought it sounded very much like chicane's stuff, but then i noticed it was a lot older than any of chicane's tunes.

I love both but if I have to choose one it would be Orbitals. The intro is just stunning (I'm referring to the album version).

Btw, definition of halcyon:

1. Calm and peaceful; tranquil.
2. Prosperous; golden: halcyon years.

Gonna have to go against the flow; while Orbital's Halcyon is certainly a more important and influential production, Chicane's track remains my favourite track of his -- easily -- and is in my top 20 overall. Orbital's is one of the best EDM tracks ever, yes, but it doesn't make my top 100.

Hearing Halcyon when I saw hackers was one of the reasons I got into EDM. I just had to know what song that was after I heard it. Haven't been the same since.
