ABOUT THIS SET
protocol:legacies is a tribute.
Trance has explored many avenues of sound leaking into and influencing countless
other genres. Its impact on world music cannot be mistaken. This set is a tribute
to all who have created, spun, promoted, purchased, danced to, tripped to, fell in
love with, fell in love to, had sex to, yelled at, broadcast, simulcast, grew up
with, never grew out of, and has a soft/hard/psychotic spot for trance of all shades.
With this set we aimed to leave a lasting impact on the listener, and firmly
understood the only way to achieve this was to shatter the limitations of
traditional mix set media.
Unprecedented in mix-set culture, this 10 HOUR MP3 ONLY behemoth contains no less
than 102 tracks, and pulls together multiple aspects of trance into one piece -with
tracks that are dance floor favourites, nostalgic triggers, popular anthems, acidic
tinglers, dark brooding emotional pieces, progressive rollers, and even some lesser
known gems and rarities.
With a set of this magnitude, we naturally came across unpredictable technical
issues; some of which are still residual in the set, so bear with it, they are minimal.
We believe that music is meant to be free to infect the ears of and inspire the hearts
of everyone, so your obligation is to keep this set alive by passing it along, copying
it, playing it, and burning it; thereby spreading the gift. We also believe in giving
credit where credit is due, so whenever you pass it along, please include this file
and its track list with the mix set.

chugging progressive on Protocol:Radio one night, then watch him drop old-school Jungle
at a jam the next. Further yet, you are likely to find OTIS in a forest of electronic
gear cranking out a remix. Currently producing everything from Drum & Bass to Progressive,
and co-hosting Protocol:Radio on the Toronto FM dial & grooverince.com, OTIS continually

This mix is fantastic! The track order is excellent! The mixing is very professional!

heh.. well it's good to see at least one junkie among the tranceaddicts approves of this batch.. maybe 10 hours is to intense a fix for most 'round these parts.

boy do i have some memories of that tune. i remember that one being on a DJ Micro cd. my friends and i got drunk and were having a dancing competition to that tune. everytime i hear it i remember throwing up tons of whisky with that tune playing in the background.

Honestly tho, we put a lot of work into creating a set of this length, so we really wanted this set to remain cohesive as a single mp3, and not fly around the net in chunks. If you wanna do that, it's fine.. but I'd rather not promote it.

Sorry guys.. Grooverince has been upgrading their servers, and doing a general overhaul of their studio for the last little while. Since they are hosting this set, the server adjustments affect it. Keep checking back, it should be back up shortly. I'll try to keep a tab on when it's up and give you all a heads up.
As well, you can probably find this set floating around soulseek as well as other filesharing communities. Please remember to share the tracklist when sharing the file.
