Dj Scot Project
along with others may 29th webster hall full info coming soon..the long await is now over......

Posted by DJ A.i on Feb-24-2005 15:50:

so, wait... hes gonna spin at avalon NYC on the 28th and spin at webster hall the day after??? thats odd.(it looks like avalon will have him first)

hey nast nice, it looks like websterhall is booking decent parties but at the wrong time(johan gielen < PVD, cosmic gate < sasha &digweed, and scott project @ avalon nyc friday) i dont think webster hall should even bother booking cosmic gate b/c everyone and their mamma will be at S&D!

he's not spinning at avalon.
just webster hall.
according to his booking agent, he's only scheduled for the 29th in nyc.

hmmm thanks ... why the hell did i think he was spinning @ avalon?? oh well, thanks for the correction anyways.

Posted by glittergirl on Feb-24-2005 19:00:

^^ probably b/c in a previous thread announcing avalon's lineup for the next few months, scot project was listed as spinning on april 29. i emailed his booking agent to confirm the date, and she said it was wrong info, that he will "be in new york on may 29". i guess we all just assumed avalon, but that didnt make much sense at the time anyway, considering the 29th is a sunday, and i dont think avalon would be having him there on a sunday.

hmm

webster hall > avalon?

webster < avalon?

Posted by glittergirl on Feb-24-2005 19:03:

webster hall = avalon

shit for shit, freak show vs. freak show

Originally, I posted that Scott Project was gonna be at Avalon on 4-29. He's the only one that didn't come true to my original list. But now look at the party planner. It still lists Scott Project for 5-28 (saturday) at Avalon. This gig at Webster Hall would still be a Sunday, which I don't think I'd go if that's the case.

Cool DJ but not worth the Sunday night + Webster Hall for me.

IMO, they need a simulataneous implosion of Avalon and Webster Hall.

good to see this info is finalized

havent seen scot project spin in YEARS its gonna be ill. even tho im not a big fan of webster hall

Posted by phoenixBEBE on Feb-24-2005 19:20:

oh crap i just realized this is taking place during MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND...no wonder its being held on Sunday. How will this event be managed? similarly to Cosmic Gate, where you only allow certain ppl access into the main room?

well i hope they spin for more than 3 hrs...most headliners spin for longer than THAT in NYC

Posted by Nasty Nice on Feb-24-2005 19:25:

scot project

yes its sunday memorial day weekend no work or school monday and no the regullars will not be there these are special events where doing there.....

Oh, that's cool then. Didn't catch that. Then, I'll just have to hear how Cosmic Gate is and I will decide about this one. If I hear good buzz about Cosmic Gate, then perhaps I'll check out Johan Gielen and Scott Project.

So I'll keep an open mind.

but they DO need to tweak their sound system...thats a genuine concern. hopefully WH will take note of that, and check the system out before April 1st. other than that, its all good. im def going for cosmic gate and then for scot project because i love those djs.

Posted by Member of X on Feb-24-2005 19:55:

Yeah, I mentioned before that I thought the sound system at Webster Hall was simply atrocious. There's no getting around that one. To me the sound seems muffled and definitely can make the ears ring. Spirit has that clear bass that I like.

I agree with you too about the DJ's because they are something different. It's not just the normal rotation of guys. We typically don't see harder trance and they represent the quality of it.

A little harsh? Are we Polyanna or something? Relax!!

I'll stand by my opinion that Avalon and Webster Hall are two of the worst clubs I've ever been too. I think I'm not the only one in this assessment.

YES!! After going to Webster Hall the last time, I had to come home and take a looooong shower. Although I didn't even talk to anybody, I still went to the doctor to get myself checked....just in case.
It's like partying in the NYC subway system.

I might be a tad bit exaggerating but it's a contentious point to me because there is some really good talent going to those places and it's sort of a shame.

As I said already, if I hear good things about Cosmic Gate then I'll try to keep an open mind and check out Johan Gielen or Scott Project.

we are looking into the sound problem as we speak...memorial day we will be booking the hole club thats 5 areas of sound....for cosmic gate and johan we only have the main ballroom keeep that in mind but the ballroom holds up to 3k people with a balcony over looking the dance floor...we are doing this for all the trance heads... and what abetter location for it to be at so come support and make this forst event jump off the way it should.. besides who knows when the next time cosmic gate will be doing a world tour again...
