Review : Tiesto @ Crobar

Ok this was the worst clubbing experience ever in my life. First I had to wait on line for about 2 hours, at one point it didnt move an inch and it was crowded as fuck. Once i got in the club (around 1:40) the vibe was soooo wack. Noone was dancing it was just so damn crowded. It seemed like a lot of people were there for the hype of tiesto, and not really dancing and enjoying the music. Even though im under 21 I think crobar should stay 21+ after my experiences tonight. It was crowded as shit on a wednesday ! I havent seen so many tape-up's in my entire life. It seems like everyone in there had the same haircut from the same barber. The cover was 40$ I was reluctant to pay but i waited on line for so long, and my other friend was already in there. Did I say it was so fukin crowded ? Anyways there was some positives to the night. Dj tiesto's mixing seemed on point, kind of reminded me of pvd's style of mixing , cutting in the kick early. My fav tracks of the night would be ridgewalkers feat el. - find, rank 1 - beats @ rank1 dot com, Thomas Datt - 2v2(some remix?) and some real techy track he played. Also for some reason there was so many girls with big breasts, maybe tiesto brings titties ? Not to be a pervert or anything, but out of all my clubbing experiences I have never seen so many girls with big titties inside a club. Maybe i've been going to the wrong parties? If my review has offended anyone, or if you disagree with my review feel free to reply

Got there around 11.. Didn' take me long to get inside. Cool people once i got to the middle of the dance floor.. I started the crowd up when i showed my vinyls . Only other thing is that there seems to be a new remix to Adagio For Strings..not a bad start to it. I'll edit this post later.. tired -_-zzzz

HOW WAS THE SET, A REAL REVIEW PLEASE!!!! its tiesto, and its a forgone conclusion that it will be crowded as hell, no offense!!!

There are three new remixes being released this year:

Fred Baker Remix, Danjo & Styles Remix, & a Phynn Remix.

iono...IMO when crobar is 18+ it just seems like the crowd is very different from when its 21+...its def MUCH more crowded...and people are less friendly/more grabby n pushy. like at Sasha Feb 4th i noticed that a lot. well Crobar has been known to have great looking grls so shouldnt be surprised about that. lol. iono..I just wonder how its gonna be wid Sasha/Zabs on March 4rd there...

I lost count of the text messages Bitchboy sent me about how sick Tiesto was.....there was one bad one....but all the others were OMFG!!! LOL>....I think hes turning into a Tiesto whore....maybe still in the closet.

Sounds like I missed out on some good choones and some Tig Bitties. That's quite a shame, especially the big boobs. I guess if it's gonna be that crowded you might as well have some extra cushion against ya right?

18+ at Crobar is wack. 21+ gets crowded there anyways for the big guns but it's usually always within reason. Obviously Tiesto brings them out no matter if it's a Wednesday. I guess there's some power in that.

I read this article from Christopher Lawrence who talked about wanting to play more gigs with 18+ in the U.S. because it brings the younger crowd more into trance instead of hip hop or whatever. But I just think it's the right of passage when you're that age to not get into places that you want to.

I expected too much.

Aside from the music being average at best, I go to Tiesto to get away from the Boris/Jonathan Peters crowd. Seems like they all decided to go out last night?

I dunno how I ended up at Crobar all I know is that I got there after work, it was cold, i got inside and it was PACKED and drank alittle too much and now I'm at work. Not sure what happen inbetween, all I know is that it was fucking packed in there. I left around 1am-ish only to see this HUGE line, i wonder how it was in there around 3am. HAHAH

anyways 18+ parties I've noticed these young bucks wearing less and less clothes - i don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing cuz once they open their mouths its like SHUTUP BITCH! sorry for being so offensive but some chick shorter than me with huge boobies got all up in my face for me smoking weed saying OH YEA I GOT WEED TOO OH YEA OH YEA and started blowing the weed into my face. I dunno I feel bad for these chicken heads =T

ps - yea I'm at work now..lols

Succesfully my last time seeing Tiesto in a NYC club. I will go to Central Park and a TIC type event...but as far as these clubs - no chance.

The only difference between last night and 2001 at Exit is the venue and tracks played. Same shit crowd and same packed house.

Maybe i am too old but i doubt it...i think it has to do with the fact that Tiesto has attracted so many goons/juiceheads/conformists/bridge&tunnel types that simply go see Tiesto because he is plasterd all over KTU.

If i wanted to see a bunch of guidos all sweaty i would go to Gold's Gym...if i wanted to see a bunch of DJ hopping whores i would use my time machine and go back to Factory and if i wanted to stand next to a bunch of dirty strangers i would take the 4 train during peak hours.

I am done with Tiesto shows...plain and simple....i will leave him for the wagon hoppers...i cant stand people like last night that follow trends...i mean every fuckface had the same haircut, same cologne, same played out Abercrombie shirts and same bitchass look on their faces...friggen gets me mad.

Nothing in NYC tops his show at The World in October 2001....anyone who went and remembers that tracklist will tell ya...all bangers with awesome encores...and the crowd was cool...

Ugh NYC clubs disgust me now...bring back 1993 to 1999 NYC...those were the friggen days.!!!

yeah, older stuff was good.. but you gotta just hit up Crobar on days where its actually Crobar, not 18 yr old guidopump fest.
Like Erick Morillo night that just happened.. absolutely amazing
or back when Scumfrog was resident, amazing
actually, any other night but tiesto night :P

Posted by DeRangedMind on Feb-24-2005 17:07:

I agree with you all the way Tiesto14 last year at Buzz/Cubik was extremely packed I didn't have any fun.I had fun in 2001 seeing because it was packed that you had to swim through people.

That why I decide to not even bother seeing him at Glow in Washington D.C. the night before.

Alig?...u gotta be kidding me bro!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know Michael....i met him at a place called Mothers in the meat packing district in 1994 a few times...he is friends with Reece and Scotty who used to work for NASA. Then i used to talk to him, briefly, at Limelight. We werent friends or nothing..but i knew him and he knew me.

I assure u Michael is not posting on tranceaddict....not to make TA look bad or anything...but from what i remember of him and the crowd he created , he would not even bother with TA...not their style.
