Being part of a jury
Have you ever been part of a jury?
Today my girlfriend was supposed to be part of one but, when they found out it was her birthday, she managed to get out. Then I thought: "Hey, it's been a while since I last posted an useless thread" so here come the ultimate questions:
Have you ever been part of a jury? What is it like? How long will it take till someone mentions Homer Simpson?
"I know you can read my thoughts boy.............meow meowmeow meowmeow meowmeow meowmeow meowmeow meowmeow meowmeow meow"
Couldn't resist.
No one I know has ever even been called up for jury duty, let alone actually even get picked.

my dad was on a rape trial jury.. found the guy guilty. that's all i know about it.
I was on a jury once in a drug case. I'm against the war on drugs so I hijacked the jury and eventually got the acquittal. It was a drag to get up in the morning to go, but I kept a guy out of prison and I won't have to go in again for a while so now that it's over I'm pretty satisfied with it.
Basically if you don't give a shit about jury duty do yourself and everyone else a favor by getting out of it. When they interview you just tell them you hate cops, that should take care of it at least 99% of the time.

yeah i sat on a murder trial in early january.
11 day case, including two days of deliberation. it was interesting for me, because my day job is as a paralegal. now i don't have to serve for 8 years cuz it went 7+ days
