Can someone give me a basic sound driver that will work with just about any computer. I have integrated sound and the drivers don't work.

EDIT: I changed the topic title

I was glad that there wasn't a naked pic, but I still had to look. What does that say about me?

I don't know what the fuck is wrong with this computer.

I just formatted and reinstalled windows and it says it finds the audio drivers I installed and that there is no problem with them but under sounds in control panel everything is greyed out and any program I try says that there is a problem with my sound device?

Well all I know is that my soundcard has the proper drivers installed but it isn't working or showing up as a sound device under any programs I try it in and that I have a PCI device that is "not configured correctly".

Intel D845GVFN

I installed the drivers from their website and no luck, I wish I could find out what the hell the PCI device is

O.K so I open the Realtek sound manager (it came with the sound drivers) and it aknowledges the driver itself but under audio controller it says N/A, audio codec is blank.

Also, when I try to run other programs in the driver folder it gives me errors like "cannot load driver (rtport.sys)!" or "cannot find SETUPX.DLL".

Any ideas?

Yep.

Open your door, lay on the ground with your head in the doorway.

Close door ten times.

That should fix it.
