Anne Cloutier(the blonde) came and did an interview on CBC, where she complained about how canada isnt going to fight and liberate Iraq with them. We went to vietnam with the US to fight for that. Why not iraq?

the interviewer then corrected her that canada did not participate in the vietnam war

and she argues im pretty sure you did

No we did not, and explains some wars we did fight in (WWII, Korean etc)

she says, well Im not so sure of that, but ill have to get back to you.

it was just as funny as this clip.

Seriously I get fuckin pissed watching that clip, and I ain't even Canadian.
When I went with my family down to Florida one time, (before moving to Canada) we met a Canadian couple who lived there, and they said they got asked MANY times by various people about what its like to live in Igloos, and they weren't joking, seriously WTF.

I blame the education system, but then again its so hard to miss Canada on the map, all tucked away down there.

Well you're not too busy to keep up with TOTA, and it was already posted here twice.

I've never contested the fact that Americans are ignorant about Canada. The question I always ask is why shouldn't they be? Unless we've been there, most of us would believe pretty much anything we hear about, say, the Dominican, or Mexico, or even some of the less touristy European destinations like Poland.

The only reason we're not as ignorant about Americans as they are about us is that we (and most of the world) are completely hung up on the thoughts and affairs of Americans and their government, so we hear things on the news or on TV - and just like Americans, a lot of the things we hear about our neighbour are half-truths or just plain wrong, but many choose to believe them anyway.
