I rarely listen to trance these days, cuz armin and co. have whored the stuff to a lame craphole.

Anyway

I'm back into dark tribal these days....steve lawler in 22 days!!!!! \o/. I listen to just about every genre of EDM these days and my music library reflects that.

Well i wouldnt say trance is boring, there are still songs that make me go wow. if you like drummy music then try tribal music. www.releaserecords.com have a tribal vinyl section that will give you a good idea as to the style of music. They are have many other styles for sale, and you can listen to the samples to find songs you like.

Posted by tribu on Feb-25-2005 00:13:

IDM, Ambient, hardcore and it's various incarnations

Try: Venetian Snares, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, autechre, Luke Vibert, Squarepusher...

perhaps you would enjoy gridlock's latest full-length offering, formless. i think, overall, it's a fairly interesting album that blends a bunch of different (and often contrasting) genres together to create an outstanding, vivid sound in the process. the result is quite surprising, actually.

Wow, I never figured you for listening to something as accessible as this , nor do I associate this kind of sound with Hymen. A pleasant surprise, I like the noise/melodic mashup this album has. Will check it.

i also like boc's music, teehee but yeah, i have my moments. sometimes my softer side breaks loose from the confinement i have inflicted upon it and goes all rampant for a day or so until i ensnare it anew and fiercely render it innocuous, at which moment everything returns to normalcy again.
