So they're just collecting dust in your record bag...
any ideas for what to do with a few records that you have NO use for?
i could take em (only maybe 5 that i REALLY have no use for) to the local shop and get a little cash for em.... but they're really crappy tunes from when i had first started DJing, and was just looking for anything in the shop to start out with... so that means even less i could get for em... and idk if you get cash or store cred. so i'd rather do something amusing with them...
so.... aside from playing frisbee, anyone ever done anything interesting with some old records?
id never be able to sell my tunes as im a sentemental(sp?) fool.
i always think if i sell them in 5 years i'll think that track was a tune.

even though theyre nothing special you could hang em up on your wall...
soon as my family moves to our new house here in a couple weeks i was thinking of taking some of my grandpa's old records (box of like 150 or so) and decorating my walls with a few key oldies -

I've seen one semi-melted into a ash tray. Waste like, but if it's a satisfyingly shit tune go for it. I like having the crazy stuff I used to spin still tho, sometimes I get back into it for a night or so too. (or I used to till I moved to another fucking uni... shitty little room)
I love all of my records.
hang it in the roof! could be nice and sweet
Only time i put vinyls up on the wall is if there a cool colour myself
I suggest melting it a bit and moulding them into shapes... like maybe a small bowl with wrinkly edges... you could seal the hole and use it for something.
or leave it there and maybe put a pot plant in there.
either way too bad there not old 78's otherwise you could just throw them against something and watch them shatter into shards and powder.
