Unison FX
Hey guys, i know some vst synths have some unison modes etcetera (like pro 53), but some dont. Isnt there some vst plugin which 'unisonizes' the sound made in simple vst synths like v-station for extra fatness.
I mean, from what ive heard, that fat sound is created by multiplying the sound created by a synth and slightly detuning all those multiplied sounds...
So why should this be done inside a synth, i mean, a plugin could do this too right???
If this excists, plz tell me, i would really love to fatten v-station and other synths like hydra...
tnx
hmmz you could try this add fruity chourus to your fx stack then load the preset 50detune and tweak it to your liking also could try adding stero enhancement to create a stero effect. try adding it before and after the chorus to see which sound you like better. this might not help but coudl try it

You do know that v-station has an unison right??
There is a freeware plugin that's called something like mdadetune.
Waves Doubler 2 & 4

so ok, let me bring in an example:
1) i create a simple 1 voice saw sound in 3xosc
2) i apply chorus or doubler with the right settings
3) hey i have a jp8000 supersaw!!!
nonsence or possible?
Nonsense!!! Doesn't the Jp-8000 supersaw have at least 16 voices? 3xosc has how many? I highly doubt that, unless you tweak like a mofo on the knobs and have the right effects, maybe a different waveform also.
no i mean, the chorus or the doubler fx duplicate the single 3xosc saw and detune them
You can achieve some fatness by using a chorus, but it's definitely not the same as a true detune, and no, creating a single saw then chorusing it not a supersaw. If V-Station is anything but a simple synth and you can create some very thick sounding patches with it, but polyphony drops the more voices you use for the unison.
I've never used fruity loops, but try this:
I'm guessing the 3xOSC has ... THREE oscillators!
So, make about 4 3xOSCs. Make your waveform and duplicate it on (3x4) 12 oscillators. Now tune the first one -50 semi pitch, then -40, then -30... up to 50. Perhaps not those exact numbers because I know each synth differs in it's finetune range, but try it anyway.
