It's you.

I was a GU faithful through about Deep Dish, Moscow. After Seaman's Melbourne (2002) it really went south in my opinion, boring and ploddy like the rest of the progressive movement. Tragic. But It will return to better times. Maybe it's already on the way. Not sure.

Are you talking about the label or the mix CD series?

That was exactly what I was thinking...the label has released pretty fucking good stuff lately. Involver, if I must remind you, was released under the GU label.

the main series has been in a rut for awhile, but you can see that the city based GU's don't seem to be the label's focus anymore. Last year only one was released. GU seems to be focused on artist albums right now. I think Renaissance is the new 'GU' as they seem to be getting the elite deejays to do comps.

i loved Lavelle GU026 Romania, don't really care wat others think

yeah, involver was good, but not great. still, i don't have, nor have i listened to, many recent GU cds. i have sasha - ibiza, and digweed - LA, and they are both pretty sweet. i've been meaning to check some of their other stuff out tho (mainly nick warren cds.....)

Posted by Clovis on Feb-26-2005 10:32:

Last one I got was Nick Warren 024 Reykjavick...which was very good...havnt heard any since...although I will most likely get Danny Howells - Miami...

Posted by Ian on Feb-26-2005 12:31:

001 & 005 are still the best ones

Posted by n0bben on Feb-26-2005 15:04:

i liked both Involver, Nick Warren 024 Reykjavik and the new Afterhours 2, so i dont think they "SUCK".

Atlantic Breakers from Paco & Frederik is a w e s o m e i think. i'm really waiting for that danny howels cd. i think GU is still really good. but Renaissance is taking over...

Posted by Salem on Feb-26-2005 20:22:

Posted by Alexan on Feb-27-2005 09:24:

Don't pay much attention to them but I loved "Global Underground Vol. 03 - Nick Warren Live In Prague", "Global Underground Vol. 13 - Sasha Live In Ibiza", "Global Underground Vol. 21 - Deep Dish Live In Moscow" and "Sasha - Involver".

(Yep, the only ones I've heard )

I prefered 'Basic Instinct' but ASOT's awesome, can't wait til 2005 (The cd I am quite aware what year we're in)

...'Boundaries Of Imagination' rocked too!

Okay...I was joking because imo the GU series are 1000x better than Armin's ASOT releases....
