my Thrillseekers inspired track UPDATED!
hello mates,
here's my new track i worked on a lot, inspired by massively some Steve Helstrip aka Thrillseekers production, so i hope you will like it

SAMPLE UPDATED!
Peter Safranyos presents Halcyon Kiss - Halcyon Kiss (sample)
1st!
again a nice track!
but i don't like the mel in the break.. u can hear it clear at 2:39
dunno if it's just me
maybe eq your bassline? don't think this is a mastered version so i'll keep my bassline-comments for the mastered one
I always loved your sounds you're using!
keep it going m8!
this is very uplifting Pete! Quite similiar in feel to Steve Helstrip's works.
All the melodies are superb, I especially like the one that is introduced at 4:01, it really adds to it.
I suggest sending this off to a label! If you don't have any luck with the labels, be sure to share the full song here, I would really like to have it.
Great stuff, probably my favourite of your work
Love it Peter
. The sound needs abit beefing up but i guess this hasnt been mastered yet.
Everything is perfect, i like that funky synth
.
Cheers.
very nice track
can imagine this being something John O'Callaghan would play.
and if this gets released id buy it
*sorry the comment is not very costructive*
the track is very nice, but the kick/percs/bassline are really lacking and spoil the composition
Hey m8.
A few (hopefully) constructive things from my side as I listen:
Nice bass and nice lead. The synth effect there is a good one, you can use that in more productions!
The high lead thing is a bit too loud I think. It has a lot of delay and that makes it a bit blurry. It's very "Safranyos" but try to back it up a bit, cause it's a bit disturbing IMO.
Hm before the break is quite a long part in which nothing happens, a bit of a drag. I think people will loose attention here.
A while after the break another lead comes up, I think it's better off coming up in the break, cause it's a bit out of nothing now.
Maybe speed it up a bit, tho the low tempo suits it well too..
Nice side fx, pleasant percussion, good pads.
I hope this helps. I have to say the rest is very high quality. Pretty solid stuff! Keep it up Pete!

Love it man.
Steve Helstrip is one of my favourite tranceproducers, and it's very interessting with tracks that been influensed by him. I guess some gets good, and some bad. In my opinion, this is one of the good ones.
Good atmosphear along the melody, although it gets pretty unintressting after a while playing. Break is really nice imo, but the buildup's kinda hasty, and soon climax is soon on. Sounds pretty ASOT-like, actually, but way better imo. Even though I think it's a great peice of music, I have to say that the postwork of this track has to be improved a lot (and yeah, I know it's only a sample, but it have to be mentioned
).
Hope seeing this on a vinyl in future time mate
Continue working
Regards
Expher
Hey Pete,
Really like what you ve done. ok here is my oppinion:
- bassline is a bit weak, give it some more power (maybe less reverb/delay)
- the synths are very well.
- choirs are good
- melodies are ok
anyway it sounds good so far, can't wait to hear a full version!
cheers mate,
Renco
Could be taste, but i didn't like this at all.
heard way better from you.
Hey Pete
Love the acid noises you got going in this one! Top notch! Kick could do with a tad more volume on on it! And it does sound like its a little over compressed in places...
Nice breakdown! Could do with some vocals
i think you should get em done anyway, even if some one doesnt remix it! Nice breaks going on...
Hmmmm when its kicked back in its seemed to have lost its energy? I cant put my finger on it exactly, maybe take an element out when the breaks play and then reintorduce it when everything comes back in? Just you get used to the stuff with the breaks as the build, so when the same things come in after its a little like "oh..."
Hope thats some help to you mate!
Good work, polish it off and you got yourself a winner!
Shep
sounds nice.. i'm not listening on any good speakers right now really...
i think that the bass could need some more power thou
and maybe work some more on the percussions
but nice work m8
I like this high heavily delayed synth. Sounds special, and adds to the athmosphere. Pluck works very well indeed.
I kind of miss any bass
I mean its there, but not really.
Make it louder, and add a second auxilary one over it to make it audible. A bit more drive from it won't hurt.
Percussion ain't that good either. Misses a bit of a groove and/or some more elements (or these are drown in the mix).
I miss something masssive in break
I'd go for opening up a filter on those pluck synth a bit. OR using another synth with notes of the hight pitched one. All I know tho is I REALLY don't like this synth that comes in in the climax. Overly simple and too much onbeat in the contrast with previous stuff IMO.
High potential in this stuff if taken care of properlly
Nice work Pete, i like the beginning with al those synths. The breaks @ 3.03 are ok, maybe some more percusion there. imo the bass line is ok, then the synth @ 4.02. i think its a little to loud, and the sound of that synth need more power imo, (maybe its better to use a more sawy lead). Like this track but it need some work.
I took some liberty in squishing it thru some FX (multiband compressor
). The percussion are nice , but inaudible normaly. Make other stuff beside open hihat stand out more.
there is only one thing i have to gripe about.. which is the mixing
all the elements fit in well together...
but the elements are clashing against each other, and it would help tremendously if you EQ'ed each component seperately and gave them their own place in their own headroom... kick and bass needs to be a bit tighter as well...
other than that, great uplifting stuff... not totally my kind of trance but quality stuff nevertheless
hey pete
awasome track
keep up the great work
looking forward to a vocal version
Reminds me of Elevation more than Thrillseekers, but still good tune... I'm sure a lot of big name DJs will can this one once it's finished.
Wow I like this, I really do.
I think you should improve the precs and the kick.
The bassline is really weak.
The melodies and the sounds are awsome.
Really great.
I can't wait for the full.
awesome man! i am impressed with this.melodies are great maybe one more melody in break would be fine...this is great stuff man!
i know bassline and percussion needs tweaking, i will fix them soon,
thanks guys, for the comments, really appreciate it
anyone else?

Hey Pete. Nice melodic ideas once again, but yea, mixing/mastering needs more work, and yea i also have to agree that it could use a punchier kick and better bassline. OUHHH, yea i really like that breack down, great melodies, but the sound quality needs work still. Sounds like there is some distortion in this.
Anyways keep workin on it, this could be an awesome tune!!

Hey Petey,
Just gotta let you know that I am listening to this at work on shitty computer speakers (built into the monitor!) so I can't comment too much on sound quality.
Anyway, this track has lots of drive & energy. I like the snare a lot!
I like the different layers of melodies.
This may be cause of the speakers, but it's hard to make out a bassline... might want to boost that a little bit.
Good stuff as usual.. you're a production machine these days - keep it up!
