Puzzling Question: American Audio and Stanton similarity

It seems like American Audio and Stanton are working together, or sharing products?

Stanton s-350

American DJ CDI-300

Stanton 450

American DJ CDI-500

The New Generation of Stanton seem to be the same too:

Anyone know why this is? It just seems like very few companies seem to be original these days.[

Those are so similar I can't believe they are just ripping each other off. Stanton is a much larger company so my bet is that American DJ has an agreement with them where they just rebrand their CDJs so they don't have to develop them on their own. Who knows, maybe they even get Stanton to manufacture them for them with the American DJ name on it.

Stanton stole the Pioneer pressure sensitive wheel

it's probably a oem cd deck where each company makes a couple changes and slaps their name on it... Just like the str8-150 decks..

Re-branding it happens with every thing in the world, Cars, Bread, Beers and Dj equipment.

isn't that the one which was originally designed for numark's new deck (pre ttx-1) but they didn't like it, so he went and sold the OEM design to loads of other companies?

good on him.
