[192kbps] Solarstone - Seven Cities (Alex Pea Remix)

Straight forward trance-remix of this lovely tune.
I've also mixed "Gigi D'agostino - Bla bla bla" in to this remix

Enjoy (hopefully)

not bad, the vocals sound rather out of place tho and the stolen breaks sound a bit weird, but they work.

the percs sound a bit cheap, i think the bassdrum does it more than anything else, if it was a bit longer and u got rid of the vox it could be rather cool

is something happening to your anergy remix btw, a friend passed a sample to me on msn and i've never seen it on tranceaddict

Ok. Thanx for the feedback. My Anegry-remix? Should anything happen to it? I was the one responsible for Anegry getting caught for ripping the tune+the vocals. So the label refused to even listen to my remix...

Apart from the vox this is magic stuff! Can't comment on it really! Make it longer though!

Thanx I know it should be longer, but this is a production which I really didn't put so much work into. So I didn't wanna waste more time on it. Probably took me 3 hours to produce it...

Pretty good progressive
Nice at 00:32
Didnt get the whole thing.
You go above 0db some places though
And spectrum looks a little weird
It is, however, your choice of what kind of frequency garbage your next sample may unfold.

Good work mate
You made it

Sounds great Alex - very warm and full sound. I like the big supersaw that you use too

What happened with Anergy?

Posted by woscar on Feb-28-2005 15:49:

Bla bla bla

Yep, the vocals ruin it. Otherwise it's pretty nice. If I were you I'd get rid of the vocals and make it longer, because it's one good piece of work you got there.

Lol. He ripped a tune (and the vocals in it) and sent it to a label. They wanted to release it, and then they launched a remix-competition for the track. Then, Chris Bradstreet, the original producer of it, discovered it. The whole trance.nu was against Anergy. I still hate him, because he said some really ugly things to me, without any reason. Only because I was the one responsible for him getting caught for ripping it. Damn Anegry. But he produces well music..

As I said, this is not a serious production from me, so I just put the vocals in it for fun

Awesome tune again man. Cant help thinking that if you spent more time with the vocals, then you'd have an absolutely flawless tune here.

Hahaha, thanx.

Oh, I'm producing a remix of "Vincet De Moor - Shamu" atm

Nice around 2.20

Remove those stupid vocs and post again please

Very good production, but spoiled by the vocs

Wow, you're making remixes of my 2 favorite trance songs ever (Seven Cities and Shamu). I'm really looking forward to hearing what you come up with.

As for your remix of Seven Cities, I have to agree with everyone else and say that the vocals either need to be dropped or replaced. I don't think I really like that clap either.. but that's just my opinion of course. I also found myself wishing that the main melody was a bit louder, or maybe "dryer." Just sounds like it's too far back in the mix and it kind of gets lost in some places. I've always been of the opinion that your melody should be one of the most noticeable elements of your track. :P

But it's still all sounding good so far. I'll definitely give it another listen if you fix the problems that I listed above.

Is it just me or is the tempo very slow on this track? Nice production tho!

I'm keen on those vocals 'bah dah thing ding ding' I've heard them on other tracks somehwere and never really liked them. But you certainly choose a legend tune to remix. Always loved this one.

OMG! 2.30 - that drum loop is awesome!!! Nice filtering too.

Forgot to say, is that rain or flowing water ambience I can hear?

hell this track is remixed a 1000 times and this adds nothing. And that bassline is way to simple, i think you could have increased the drive of the original for example, by adding a nice driving bassline. The sound quality is pretty, but im not to keen on your main synth, espcially when it filters in, dont like it that much. Its a decent production, nothing special and that vocal is retarded

Yup. I agree. That's why I didn't want to work any more with it. Didn't you read the thread? It's nothing more than a straight forward trance track...
