I believe it's when something reminds you of something else. Like when a colour reminds you of a song or a smell reminds you of a place.

Better explanation

It's actually far more interesting than that. Synaesthetes (or "synesthetes," the term for people with synaesthesia) will actually taste sounds or hear colors.

i heard a good definition of it once, its when one sense invokes the feeling of another, as flyboy said, tasting blue, seeing the bassline of a track, whatever.

what track was that from, "synaesthesia showing blue, aquaman knows what to do"?

Thanks for answers.
If synaesthesia is what you say it is, I know "how" to experience it.
There are some tracks that I listened to a lot in past, and then stopped.
After some time has passed, when I listen to them again, I can tie those tracks to occasions, events, people, smells, flavours, feelings and such.

well actually this is the work of your memory...

but synaesthesia is very different. Just check wikipidea.

when you hear a track/sound/key, you REALLY see the colour(s) for exemple.

Well, it it's not synaesthesia, it's something similar to it.

ive seen a documentary on this. people who have a "6th" sense. really, its when two of a persons senses are connected somehow, and one can actually taste sounds, or feel music.
