Old soundfactory to become new Discoteque?

Okay. So what's up with this rumour? Is it happening? Also heard that Subliminal (Morillo) will have a Saturday residency there. True? If so, I hope they can turn this venue around.

Well, Morillo is definitely a good start to turn around the image that is SF. The most important thing is that they dont book JP.

Its not totally about what he spins - although it is a part of the issue - its more about his actions, and the actions of the people that support him and frequent his club nights.

fair enough...the JP crowd is def. a little disgusting at times, but I respect the man as a DJ

the die-hard JP fans are some of the most ignorant edm heads ive ever heard of and met.... according to them, "silence" was by JP, and not Delerium & Tiesto, "i like that beat" was by JP, and not Oliver Klitzing, "women beat their men" was by JP, and not Submission, the list goes on.... type in Jonathan Peters and look at how many mislabels that his name is under.... im not blaming him for this, im blaming his overzealous fans for it.... according to them, everyhing from "flight 643" to "dark beat" were by JP

...but yea, back to the original point of the post... the owner of Discotheque, Eddie Dean i think it is, has a lot of investors and theyre hoping to open by May or June, and yes, have Subliminal DJs as residents...

...on a side note the man has serious skills as a dj.....or at least at his peak about 4 years ago....not sure why he is not up to par (dj-wise) these days

hmm well...they mite...to make MONEY cuz he DOES bring in ppl...but if they are smart they won't...btw does anyone know where he ended up since leaving Spirit?

Posted by toxa on Feb-28-2005 20:41:

no where yet (residency wise)

Posted by DJ Will on Feb-28-2005 21:24:

Word is that he went to work on an album and various other projects, but will be doing guest spots on and off during that time, but won't be a resident anywhere until he's done with what he has to do.

i miss sf...not the crowd, but the venue. I had a lot of good times in there on fridays when i first started clubbing a few years ago before i got into trance mainly. the place had a cozy feel cause it wasnt huge but there were 4 floors to explore and find spots to hang at.

pvd was the last time i was at sf....

the one thing i miss about sf the venue
was the syestem
one of the best syestems ive ever heard

Were you at Crobar for Morillo? He can bring loads of people too.

That place was packed to the fucking max, and when I bounced at 5:30, there were still people standing outside waiting to get into the club.
