Cheap hosting? (I need/Swamper not responding...)

I am looking to get around 500MB of space to host mixes, don't want to spend a ton, but don't even know where to start. All I want to do is host mixes, I don't want a website, nothing but direct links to MP3 files to help with self promotion.

Any help would be appreciated. Peace, Cheers,

RJT

I host my site at http://www.1planhost.com

750 mb space
40 gb monthly bandwidth
99 dollars a year (less than 9 bucks a month)
No interNic fees (includes 70 dollar reg fee AND 35 dollar annual fee)

So far the service has been fantastic, cant complain.

Good luck.

Try www.dreamhost.com I have used them for a while and they are great.

They offer 2.4 gigs of space, with 120 gigs of bandwidth per month.

It costs $10 a month, if you pay for a year upfront, no setup fees. But if you pay month-by-month, then you have to pay a $50 setup fee.

by far some of the best prices i've seen is what i currently use..

www.canaca.com

i pay about 4.95 a month.

i get: 10 gb storage, 200 gb bandwith transfer, email accounts, ftp, etc. for the bronze package. i paid an extra 10 bucks for the inital registration of my domain... but damn.. 5 bucks a month is cheap!!

i heard canaca got terrible service, both in terms of customer service and uptime.

i personally use 1and1.com
very stable.

when i first setup my website there were some problems, within the first week or so the page went down a couple times.... but each time my service was down... and i e-mailed them about it, they responded pretty quickly, and fixed my problem promptly. so yea, there were some instances of downtime initially but the customer service was pretty good, and since then i haven't had any problems at all...
