buying ecler nuo 5

i just ordered the mixer, but i am ordering it from agiprodj.com .. the service rep tells me that I won't get it until the 11th, anyone know of an online store that I can order it from that is relatively the same price? (AGRIPRODJ.com offers NUO5 for $999.99)

Please help me out.. I Can't mix!! :-[

Thats the cheapest i've found it

$1,399.95 CAD = $1,134.68 USD

Why buy a nuo if you can't mix? I'd buy a djm 707 if I was a beginner

I still have a shitter mixer...but hey. Working up the money.

i do know how to mix already foo
mine just blew

Oh..well you should've specified. I'd still go with a djm 909...WICKED efx and 2 channels, but just switch the phono and line....crazy mixer.

I think theres over 57,000 diffreent fader curves

I have looked all over you agipro has the best price by far. The Nuo-5 is still too expensive for me, but I am really looking forward to the Nuo-3 in the coming weeks.

If you are in the states, you are pretty much stuck w/ going w/ Agi. When I bought mine, they had almost all of the inventory in the states as well as the best price.

As for the 909, why would you want to get that overpriced POS? The 909 is a battle mixer, the Nuo-5 is not (but does come w/ the eternal x-fader if you wanted to scratch).

the djm 909 has better efx than your shitty nuo 5 x100

I guarentee the EQ and Fader on the 909 are 50x better than the nuo 5's

yea but does the 909 have midi capability like the nuo5 does? cuz i think ud have more flexibility with that then 50 effects that ur not gonna use on a 909

Posted by A83 on Mar-01-2005 01:57:

Whats the point of midi capability. Who actually buys the mixer for just the damn midi port

i think midi would be great for controling software like Ableton Live, archaos VJ, or video mixers like the edirol V4.

I guess you've never used an Ecler mixer before.

No kiddin, I don't think he has, the 909 is good, but only having 2 channels is abit crap for mixing this type of music, when it comes to faders, the Ecler Pro faders are VERY good and are loved by many people, and as for there Eternal fader, there really isn't anything else out there that comes close, so the 909 has 3 million effects, the Nuo has 12 well made effects, and the overall sound of the unit is amazing for the price, plus as for midi ports, the way the future of DJing is going, it will come in very handy, unless your a scratch DJ, there really isn't much point in going for a 909 over a Nuo5, the Nuo5 is geared more towards EDM style of DJing, and like I said, that midi port to me is much sexier than a bunch of effects, you can do MUCH more with midi than afew thousand different versions of the Flanger.

Dallas, congrats on your mixer, when you get it that is.

Effects are not why I purchased my Nuo5, it was an added bonus. One of the main reasons for going with a Nuo5 was to get away from the sh*tty build quality of the Pioneer mixers. You evidently have no clue about the quality of the Pioneer mixers. When your eq's mess up and you have no sound coming out of your mixer, post back here again and tell us all how the EQ's are 50x better than the Nuo5's.
