Old techno song 1994-1996 era

the song has the lyrics, " the sun and the mmon and the gifts you gave". The music was also used by MTV for a period of time on the intro for a show of theirs, I think maybe a precursor to the real life shows. Any help with the title and artist would be apreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, Way Out West - The Gift is 1996 and I believe it played on MTV as it did fairly well in the UK charts. Not techno however, but that's all I can think of with lyrics resembling that.
