Hey everyone, my newest release will be subjected to whatever you can dish out. The winner will be released on my music page and will get a link to thier page from mine. The song is "Take My Hand" , it's a melodic layed back trance track, so I think it'd be interesting to see what people can think up of here

And also - the track is very boring. The synth playing that melody during the break is absolutely hilarious

No offence, but I think this is an unserious remix competition..

point taken, and is a valid point at that. Well, for starters, the released version is not the same as what will be out on the album. 2nd, this is a remix comp that I'm doing to try and bring together a bunch of great artists, from over a bunch of sites and countries.

And lastly, it's mostly for the fun of having a remix competition. No huge prizes, no big banners, just to let everyone know what you can do. However, I may deside to include 'with the remixers permission' thier remix on my album as a bonus track. I am putting alot of time and effort into this as long as people are willing to take it seriously enough to not treat it like a joke.

at that, I hope that you may deside to partake in this event

To get me interrested, you have to tell me which market channels you will try to sell your album in.

Also, is it being released by a record label, or are you selling it on your own?

im not too keen on the track... not heard of sgf.. the bass and kick sounds extremely weak, as does the percussion... i think you should work a bit more on the original before you start trying to get remixes.. and when u say this is getting released.. in all honesty.. it doesnt sound to me like its good enough for release, be careful because people are guna be dissapointed if they put in lots of work remixing this and then find out its not actually going to be released. work on your sounds and be more experimental..

i think this is all being taken the wrong way. i know radman from a few other boards and am about 99% sure this tune isn't signed. when he says 'my latest release' he just means the latest tune he's put out.

and yea, it's not released on a label as of yet, nor is it fully complete. For one, I stated that it's the online version, or free version, I do these so to get people interested in what I'm making, and if they like it enough to want to hear more, then hey, there's a sale for my album. But if all you're gonna do is poke fun at my attempts to try and get some interest built up for a little friendly competition at remixing this specific tune, then why even bother posting a reply?

And for the record, I can garentee that no remix will be a waste, released or not, cus I can garentee than any good mix will be played either on radio, or in front of live crowds, seeing as I'm one of the very few dj's, only one that I know of, on the east coast who plays trance.

But anyhow, take it for what it is, bashing my idea without any constructiveness what so ever is just showing how imature you are, which in time will come back around.

also, alexpea , the album will include trance from hard, melodic, progressive, chilled, all kinds, hoping to promote it's release more this summer at any events I get gigs at.

i appriciate what your trying to do but i think you have a long way to go yet before you start trying to get remix interest to be honest. your on the right track but none of the sounds in this sound original, all like presents, it sounds like there has been no attempt to get the levels right, no eqing at all, its all very very basic and i think your stepping a bit ahead of yourself. i also think its too early to be working on an album at the moment. if you give yourself a year to get up to scratch, itll be much more worthwhile for you.

just my opinion

thanks, apreciate your feedback, but as none of you know, I mainly do hard trance, and this song is not a hard trance one :P , although the sounds have alot of work, i repeat, it's the FREE ONLINE version, but I guess all I can say is, if you wanna remix it, go ahead, if not, no hard feelings

already have quite a few from other sites goin at it, so I hope to have some clips available soon. Peace
