10 years of Chicane

Today marks the tenth anniversary of Nick Bracegirdles involvement in the edm scene.
It was on this day in 1995 that Nicks first single, "Right Here Right Now" was released, under his Disco Citizens alias.
What a glorious ten years it's been, let's hope the next ten are just as brilliant.

Why the fuck do all the producers like to pose with no shoes or socks and in feminine manner? Armin, Markus, Chicane, Tiesto.. what the fuck.

The pic of Markus in my sig was bare foot. I had to cut that shit off. Nobody wants to see anyone's ugly toes. Fawk.

Chicane was great up until "Easy to assemble"...lets hope the next 10 years are nothing like that album.

I dunno where you got your info from but actually the first released Disco Citizens single was "Right Here Right Now" in March '95 (promo'd at that time, official release on Deconstruction & Modena in July '95). Footprint was 2nd, came out on Modena, November 1996 / Xtravaganza, February 1997. Nagasaki Badger was the 3rd and came out Xtravaganza & Edel in June 1998. Btw, "Chicane feat. Mason - Strong In Love" is a remake of Right Here Right Now, only with different vocals and subtle changes here and there.

All'n'all Nick is a great producer who has now sadly been rather disappointing with his latest album Easy To Assemble. Hopefully the reworked final version will be better.

I hope the "reworked" version of the new album is good!

+1, only good track were 'Love On The Run' & 'Daylight'

Long live Chicane!

Wasn't a fan of the "Easy To Assemble" album on a whole. I did like the tracks "Something Wrong" and "Kilometre" on it however. But I couldn't stand the single "Love On The Run" at all.

Chicane is a great producer though his latest album wasn't great

It's gonna be re-edited and released hopefully later on in 2005.
Thats what they say in the newsletter anyway..

was wondering why the logo on the cover was different, also the art wasn't as imaginative as his other covers

Agreed. If you like Chicane, these are a definate requirement to your Chicane collection. Vol 2 is one of the best remixes i've heard in a long long time.

Nuff said!

BTS and FFTMC are classics that will weather the test of time and will still be listened to 100yrs from now, like how we still listen to mozart

in fact, i still listen to BTS once a week... the first 5 tracks purify and cleanse my thoughts and mind, and take me to a quiet tranquil place

nick, you are my hero!
