Smiley DJ about pioneer mixer

i got at question abot buying a mixer, does anyone have ANY idea about the pionner djx-700? how it works...how it holds up...

Umm not quite sure which mixer your on about, the DJX700 is Behringers cheap copy of Pioneers DJM600, stay clear of the DJX, as for the DJM, go for it if you can get it real cheap, if not I'd recommend you look at some other mixers that are better for less moeny, like the Ecler Nuo5 and Denon X1500.

But which do yuo want to know about the DJMs or the DJX?

Get the 707. It's the exact same thing as the 909 without the efx.

Faders are sooo smooth, along with the fx.

$100 more than a DJX700

A83 - Why do you always recommend scratch mixers?

Posted by DannyO on Mar-03-2005 00:08:

The Pioneer 707 is a great mixer for the price, but its not the best option for spinning this music, if you can find one, go for a Vestax PCV-275, which can be had for $300US brand new, its discontinued to might be hard to find, but its a proven mixer and people love it.

I'd agree, don't buy the djx 700 unless you plan on buying a new one within 9 months. I got a brand new pioneer DJM600 for 699$ at 123dj.com. Keep an eye out for online deals.

Too much trouble to ask u guys here what a fair price is for a good condition Pioneer DJM 500. I am thinkin about buying a firends, or should I investigate thru e-bay and other places? Thanks

I wouldn't suggest buying a pionner mixer. I would suggest you go with something like the Tascam x-9, Ecler Nou5 or Denon x1500

I would try to stay away from purchasing used pioneer mixers. I have seen first hand what years of normal use can do to the djm-500's. Unless you have a very good relationship with your friend and can account for where that mixer has been and how it has been used, I would advise staying away from it.
