Anyone got/had experience with Numark DXM01 - USB version?
What does the usb part actually allow you to do ? How well does it work with PC apps, and what PC apps can you actually use ?
You can play audio from your PC through the mixer via the USB cable and it allows you to record to computer via USB, meaning that if you have a pair of CD players or TTX1s hooked up to the mixer via the digital in, you can record to computer, having a totally digital signal path.
have a look for it at the product overveiw from Numark
wow this is interesting but i had a few questions if anyone could answer me...
how do you adjust the bpm of the song you are bringing in to mix from the computer?
also, if you have 2 cd players, where will you connect the computer to if the mixer only has 2 channels? does this means that you will only be able to play with only one cd player and the computer?

thanks for your reply...
i have something for your information:
i was told by a company which currently sells the product that you could have 2 cd players plus the computer connected and when you want to play mp3s from the computer, you just swith a button to usb instead of line 1...
makes sense...
ok i have one, and its hooked up into my computer as well, im playing music from my computer through it now
all u have to do is plug the USB cord into the mixer and your computer, then change a few things in windows (the playback options, instructions are in the DXM01 box so u cant stuff it up). i have 2 turntables and my computer hooked up to it, with a flick of a switch (just above the channel faders) you can change from playing from a turntable to playing from your computer)
the program it comes with it alcatech BPM studio, which sucks ass, but u can play tracks with winamp if u want, but seeing you want to change pitch, use something like Virtual DJ Studio for example, there are heaps of programs out there!
i should be getting soundforge 8.0 soon enough, so i'll record something then, ask me then how good the quality is
its a very good beginner mixer, though id really like 2 mid ranges (aint gonna be able to afford that for a while), id recommend it is you are just starting out
The sound quality shouldn't be bad from the mixer outputting to the computer.
