If Weebl were a DJ, would he make it to the top 100?
Disclaimer: Obviously, I'm talking about the designer, not about the talking egg!
I'm serious, think about it:
- Musically speaking, writing a song with "badger" as the bassline without sucking is quite an achievment. In the other opposite, we have Paul Van Dyk who remade the same tune so many times that I can't be arsed to check if anything's changed at all after all these years. I wonder if he owns the copyright of that bassline.
- He covers a wide range of different music styles. Unlike Corsten's Electrance (or whatever catchy name we can find for that), he managed to produce something catchy AND actually new.
- Unlike Zabiela, Weebl actually has a nice alias.
- He manages to produce all his songs not only with synths, drum machines and samplers (or emulating software, whatever), but he's also a master of body sounds, with his marvellous mouth trumpet. Only DJ Jean managed to do something similar with his scratching skills...
- While Sasha spends hours and hours producing monotonous songs, not only Weebl could fill dancefloors but also produces flash animations.
- I could go on and on...

Next time, I'm voting for him

Really, with enough whoring in the spotlight, any one of us could be in the Top 100.
