Tourist question
What is the distance between Gatwick Airport and London Luton Airport, and are there any buses or trains connecting these 2 airports?
Thanks in advance
gatwick is 40 mins drive south of london
Luton is almost an hour drive north of london. and then of course you have to get through london itself
Anyway, there is a train called the gatwick express which will take you into london, and i'm pretty sure that there is a train that takes you to luton from cannon st or liverpool st, not entierly sure.
try www.tfl.gov.uk and use the journey planner

Thanks a lot.
Your help is much appreciated
There is a train service connecting these two airports, called Thameslink. It'll take you directly from one of the two Gatwick terminals (the south one, I think) and stops at Luton Airport where you then take a free bus service (5 minutes) to the aiport terminal. It's very straightforward normally (but see below) and is pretty much door-to-door.
The only problem with this service is that they're doing major engineering work on the line at the moment. This means you have to leave the train at London King's Cross and then walk 10 mins to London St Pancras, where you rejoin the service which'll then take you to Luton Airport. Bit of a pain in the arse, especially if you have heavy luggage, but it's fairly typical of the train services in the UK.
Both links provided above should help: www.tfl.gov.uk is pretty useful. PM me if you want more info.

As for a car and a lift, while I could potentially provide both, it's definitely quicker and (probably) easier for you to get the train. It's quite a long drive and the train takes a much more direct route. |

if you get caught with weed here then as long as its a small amount you should be just given a police acuation at most, they may even just take it off you. however i dont know what the deal would be for tourists+ this policy is supposed to be uniform, but it can vary in different areas. for example in strathclyde im pretty sure that the police have stated that they will continue to arrest people caught with weed. to be honest, you should be ok though. your from Canada, so you might be alittle disappointed with the quality of weed on these shores...you can get some good shit, but not the brain damage stuff yout probably used to, specially if you dont know anybody here. might be an idea to bring some with you, oh yeah and genrally its 20 an 8th of skunk.
as for vitamins, as you put it, its pretty likely youll get offferd loads, in clubs so i wouldnt wory about getting a hold of any, and generally even in clubs theyre usually good enough.

We're gonna be there June 16th to June 19th, so I doubt anything is scheduled that far in advance.
I read on the GU forums that Tyrant is now bi-monthly, so if the last one was in February...the next one would be set for April, and then June *crosses fingers* But Craig Richards himself would be wicked too. Ultimately, I'm just hoping to hit a wicked house party with an awesome crowd, vibe and all that, so I can get a pretty good idea of where the London house scene is at.
Sasha@Fabric would be the ultimate though: but I hear that it gets unbelievably packed at Fabric when he spins and that most people are there just to be there, and not to party...not sure how much truth there is to it though.
yeah, keep an eye on the gu forums, if its happening in london, itl be on there.
sasha@ fabric is late may, so if you miss that youl not get to see him, as he wont be playing again till near december time. but you MIGHT be able to catch digweed whihc would be even better. just depends. have a good time when you get here anyway
