EDM Remixes of hip hop?

I'm spinning at a small party at my school. It's gonna be my first gig It's for high school students, myself being in grade 12. I was thinking of throwing in some edm style music and since everyone these days is into mainly hip hop i wanted to try and throw some edm remixed tracks. I know of the ashanti - only you (juicy joints mix) for example or the mix of Kelis- Milkshake. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I can't think of any specific ones off the top of my head, but there's always a lot of house mixes of popular hip-hop songs coming out, look on a records store site in the club house releases section and just browse around until you recognize a name of a hip-hop song or artist you know, then give it a listen and see if it's what you want.

On the Music Choice Dance station, they usually play a remixed hip-hop or pop song every once in a while. You could watch that for an hour or two (if you get the channel) and get some ideas from there. Ciara - 1, 2 Step was on earlier, I can remember that much.

Theres not many remixes of hip hop tunes into dance tunes. I know my buddy 2nd nature works for funkymix and ultimix. I get his remixes free from his ftp. I bet what you hear on the radio is 2nd Nature's remixes. You can buy them from funkymix or ultimix. Mostly breaks but no trance.

id say about 60%+ of the hip hop r&b getting released in the uk normally has a funky house mix on the B side.

Dirrty- (mauve mix). Girlie dance floor filler. Trust me

almost any time you find a hip hop record in a record store, there will be a 'dance' remix on the flip side. go to your neighborhood record store, pick up about 20 records, listen away at the deck they have, and then pick your favorites

razzi.

I havent heard the remix but from the original version my caution to you is playing this at a high school dance may either make for a really good time or get you into a little bit of trouble...lol

If you goto a school with atleast a minimal set of values you will likely need to play the edited version
