Absolutely Incredible Party !!!
Armin - ROCKED !! Probably the best set of the year!
Orkidea - FAR exceeded my expectations. I was expecting
to hear boring progressive from that guy. What did I hear?
Amazing Trance !
Generally, this was probably the best party I've been to
in my life !
Met lot's of Tranceaddicts. Where did the banner dissaper though?
The only dissapointment was that Armin only played 2.5 hours.
Thanks to Sonic state for organizing such a party ! Keep it up guys!
PS. Anybody know name of the last track Orkidea played?
Hehe...looks like everyone is still in recovery mode...
Ya...where did the trancEaddict banner go?
Hopefully it's in good hands!
I wish Armin could have spun earlier...4am is a time only those with the mental stamina could have survived...but it sure did ROCK!
Definately big props to the Sonic peeps for a great show.
Quality
Insanity, the docks was an awesome venue, with fantastic sound and lights, great crowd. Orkidea's tech-trance filled up a space in my heart that said fill with great tech-trance. AVB managed to keep my exhausted feet moving non stop. Great stuff!
4am, for people with good mental stamina, gimme a break, if you can't last till 7am without drugs you shouldn't be calling yourself a tranceaddict (people of T.Dot, leaving a party/club at 7am in Montreal is the equivalent of leaving a party at 5am in Toronto!)
Anyways, I found it alright, I personally prefered Orkidea's set better than Armin's (if only because I've been hearing too much trance lately)
There was something about the crowd of this rave that reminded me how I use to feel at raves, I must of been sporting the after-hour club vibe (which aint a bad one), but I just didn't seem feel as excited as some of the kids.
Poor Billy Nasty, SS should not of booked him in the same time slot, as AvB, this guy looked really depressed while he was spinning (being that 20 people were in the room at any given time), and I think took off before 5am.
Good sound, good people, nice lighting (damn I LOVED the sorta red/blue strobe light effect, that made my night), top notch event, I hope it worked out financially for sonic state as well.
peace out
Ahhh...just getting back into Buffalo at 4pm sunday..hehe. What a fun night. It was so nice to meet so many TA's! Seeing members of this board out in full force really makes one feel united at a party like that.
Orkidea showed us why he had the headlining time slot last night. Pure class from that man. I really enjoy his style of trance...not to slow...not to fast...just right
Armin reminded me so much of Tiesto. The way he would raise his right arm up, telling the crowd to go nuts...the way he would smile...just like Tiesto. It seemed as if he didn't like those vestex decks too much though.
All in all a great night. Props go out to the Sonic State crew for another production well done. I just love parties done by SS because you know you'll be getting the best sound, music and decorations from them.
Again, good to see everyone out...until next time.
Peace,
Steve
Well I had fun last night...even though I had to leave @ 3:45 so, yes, I missed Armin which was my major dissapointment.
On the upside, I did really have a great time, this was my FIRST rave, and me and my friends all agreed it was great
I met a few tranceaddicts, I'm sorry a forgot most of your names, but I remember seeing Fir3star3r in front of me dancing to Orkidea, and I recall seeing a very large guy who looked alot like a pro-wrestler (trancecstasy I think?), and I met another dude and a very beautiful girl wearing a tranceaddict shirt by the tranceaddict banner @ the beginning of the night.
I didn't catch Billy Nasty, but I was really feeling Ian Ossia's set, and Orkidea did a great job in my opinion, but then again this was my first time seeing any good DJ live so it may just seem to me like everything was great
Highlight of the night for me was definately when Orkidea dropped Ralphie B - Massive .... I was going insane.
Anyways big ups to those I met, to the promoters I had a great time (and for some reason, I picked up some free fruit and dammit it was the best fuqin apple I Ever tasted in my life), and I thought the visuals were nice too.
Respects to Sonic State!
Peace!

I couldent go
but its all good though, ill make it
well its realy nice to know you guys had fun. See I didnt have enough $$$ to go out that night I could have bought the ticket but then still i needed money for parking and other things all in all thats alot $$$ all put together and i still didnt get paid from work
so i missed out on this party.
it honestly had the potential to be a very great night for me...but unfortunately it wasnt...i came alone but thankfully to my fellow TAs i felt like i came with a great group of ppl....well it was ok i didnt get to see AVB unfortunately because i had to jet early for my soccer game that i had in two hours...but it was still alright...what also made it kinda icky for me was being sober....i was completely sober and seeing everyone all fucked up kinda disgusted me...i wish i had at least drank a few beers but i didnt have cash....
te music was pretty good i was very happy to hear alot of trance before avb came on because i was expecting alot of house....but still some of those odd tribal house songs were dropped ( uknow the type of crap Mark now plays) but other than that the music was good...
i me a shit load of peeps and i wanna thank them...I wanna also apologize because i wasnt feeling much sociable last night or else i would have all gotten u rounds and talked to you....but honestly i wasnt in the mood...
one more thing disgusted me abt last night all the fuckin shooter girls were from my highschool...ya that disgusted me lol....anyways all in all it was alright though i feel like i wasted my cash last night for no reason...
OH MAN!!!
I had so much damn fun last night, its just insane. The music was non stop action from the time I got inside to the horrible turning on of the lights.
Orkidea really impressed me. Its great to have no expectations for a DJ and then having him blast your trance ass into space. Ralphie B - Massive was indeed madness.
My body dug into the reserves for armin and he abused every part of it. I enjoyed his set allot. Orkidea and him are a fantastic combo.
Sonic State, you guys are awesome. Really a wicked production, lights sound, and yes F---king free fruit (delicious).
And the crowd was amazing, chilled out happy people with nothing but sweet love for trance. It made me smile many times throughout the night, so thank you to everyone who let the music, sorry trance (I dont think the definition of music applies to trance) engulf their energy and souls. Great to see so many TA's as well.
peace out, im back to bed.
What a nite, got home at 7:30ish and slept off and on till now. I didnt get to finish Armin's set 'cuz a friend of mine was gettin bored and tired as trance really isnt his style...
Anyhow, Orkidea rocked. His style of trance is truly unique and moving (moves my feet at least...) Like Viceroy said, Armin reminded me a lot of Tiesto with the arms in the air and the perpetual smile as he worked w/ the mixer. I managed to shake both orkidea's and Armin's hand as well as get Armin's sig on a paper....very neat
It was nice to meet a couple of the TA's. I dont post ofen here, in fact I rarely do. I recognize some of the faces from Tiesto though. Heck, I was dancing right by Trancearmada @ Tiesto and didnt even know it! Good idea w/ the "Hello I am..." stickers... Seeing you all there has given me reason to post more!
Hopefully at the next party i'll get to meet some more of you and you'll actually recognize me instead of thinkin i was just posing as a TA to be cool..heh.
Peace! and best of luck recovering ;P

( i dun mean armin).....hehe
Question: Who were the two guys sitting on top of the table in front of the tranceaddict sign early in the night (during Ian Ossia's set)
ta's = one big family?
What a great night. I thought AVB was incredible, great track selection, wow. But the story of the night goes to the TA's. HANDS DOWN! I met over 15+ TA's if not more. Wearing that shirt got me into a lot of trouble! hah I can't even begin to think of names!
Armada, the nametage thing was brilliant. Blue_neon you made the night man, non-stop dancing. Grafal, it was a good night man! SOo many others I can't even begin to mention. The boys with Trance_extasy were kick ass.
It was nice to party with Swamper again! Right on man!

My god, what a night! That had to be one of the best nights in my life. Firstly, I finally met so many TAs last night, at other events I managed to only run into a few here and there. This was not the case last night, it seemed that no matter where I turned, there was a TA lurking around the corner. I won't even bother naming all of you guys, because there are too many of you. However, you know who you are and it was great running into you and chatting. Moreover, I FINALLY got a chance to meet Swamper. Nice seeing you buddy and once again thanks for this haven you have created for us.
Secondly, I was extremly impressed with the job Sonic State has done in creating this party. There was just the right amount of people
present. The place was not too crowded so there was plenty of room to dance, but on the same note there were enough people to create that great feeling of unison and togetherness. The place was well ventilated, so it never got too hot, and we got to avoid a condensation shower. The sound system was just at the right level, with a well controlled bass, so that it did not over power the mids and highs. And, the decor was very intimate and exuberant. I really liked the addition of the free fruits, it was a nice touch.
Finally, the music of the night was just pure rapture. I have never listed to Orkidea so I was not too sure what to expect. To my surprise, he was awesome! He played a very energetic set, which included some nice epic tracks. Even the tech/progressive tracks were a nice welcome, and a touch of variety. Now to get to the man himself, words can not describe the feelings AVB envoked in me last night. He was absolutely ecstatic, taking me on a beautiful journey which was extremly transcendental. I would just close my eyes and loose myself "in the moment". He gave me an experience which will be ingrained in my heart for a long time to come.
Lastly, a moment which was extremely impressionable to me occured at the end of the party when people were taking pics with AVB. I told him how his music really resonates with others and touches their souls, how he has a strong following here, and is really admired by many. To that he responded with a big smile, shook my hand, and thanked me with genuine humbleness.
OMG
Last night was sick. I met so many of you guys, I cant even begin to start naming names. I thought I was gonna cry when Armin dropped Marco V - Simulated and Urban Train. That was just too much for me. I got my ticket signed by Armin right when I had to go last night, can u belive they spelled his name wrong on the tickets?! it fucking says "Armis van Buren". LOL, i wake up and look at my ticket and I am like why the fuck did he put that "n" there? LOL, he fucking corrected his own name on the ticket..lol, i found that funny. The laser and all the fucking lights were awesome. Tranceaddicts were out in full force and it was just awesome, I cant wait for the next big party!!!
shouts out to blue_neon,halo,misiek,stereo princess, trancearmada, tranner, swamper, trance ecstasy, and everyone else that made that party as good as it was...
peace

WOW
What an unbelievable night, i had a time of my life. Orkidea was amazing but for me AVB absolutely stole the show, he blew my fooking mind, i loved the way he got in to the crowd with his hands in the air and a big smile on his face, HE WAS LOVIN IT, and thats awsome. I came close to the dj booth, stuck out my arm and Armin, with a big smile on his face shook my hand and gave me a thumbs up, that was great!!!!!!, then i managed to get his autogragh
on a peace of paper...................Damn what a night.
It was great to meet all the fellow TA's, Halo20, KevinExite, Trancemanda, stereoprincess, Fir3start3r, Blue_neon, Boy trance, Arctic boy and the MAN himself Swamper, i forgot the rest of the names, there were soooo many, it was fantastic. I hope u guys enjoyed all the light shows that me and my little brother gave (mostly my little bro).
State 01 did an absolutely amazing job, the club had just enough ppl, so there was still room to dance, it wasn't hot at all and the free fruit was awsome, the sound system was also perfect, not too loud to leave u deaf for the next 3 days but just perfect.
Overall the night was absolutely superb, 12/10
Anyways i'm autta here.
Lates
P.S. Arctic boy, you crazy, i love you man, HAHAHAHAHA
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

Props out to State for creating a great vibe and party and keeping their reputation for great parties...
Music wise it was good... It was a shame Billy Nasty was in the side room because he pumped out some quality tracks. Orki dea's set was phenomenal... I really like that guy.
As for Armin I thought that his set was gonna be insane after hearing Simulated the first track, but it seemed like he would play a progressive track then drop epic shit in there.... I only seemed to be dancing to the progressive stuff...
Cool meeting all the ta family again... Props to the "TA AMBASSADOR" Trancearmada.
So far this year PVD imo has had the best set... Please dont start a posting war over this comment
Im out
Welp
It was a great party
I went there mainly for Orkidea (I was very impressed with his set at Wintergalactic last year) and he surely didn't dissapoint me.
It's too bad he didn't drop his last track that he spun last year... It would have rocked the crowd upsidedown.
Armin played his usual stuff... I was really happy he played communication... It's like one of his best productions...
Overall, I think Orkidea was the headliner...
Great meeting so many TA's... There were alot more here than at Tiesto...
My throat is v. sore now so I guess I'll ttyl...
- One con about this party was the layout of the stage... I would rather have it setup like Wintergalactic, where the dance stage was open till the end of 'The Docks'... They sepearted the last room... And the DJ stage was like in front... Yet... V. good idea having the backstage thing...

Overall great party...
Sonicstate always puts on good shows...
The best 2 raves I've been to were Wintergalactic and State...
I wish I could have made it to the party in Niagra a few months ago at the Niagra Convention Centre...
I hear there was a great party there...
Shouts out to nrg, articboy, swamper, smacks, richie, red, bah whatever... all TA's

| Those two guys were MANDRICK_V and JAY getting readdy fot Orkidea and Van Buuren......anyway Jay almost passed out around 5 o'cklock from overtiredness, as for me I had a good practice in GUV and Koolhaus when Ferry, Tijs and Paul were spinning. |
