Once again, the biggest, best and longest running festival of its kind touches down in Ontario, Canada. We promise the ultimate music weekend featuring hundreds of performers from around the world. Continuing the tradition that began at the very start of the electronic music scene, Destiny returns with its boldest production to date and very special milestone - our 50th major event!

Over the past decade, some of the biggest names in dance music have graced the stages of WEMF. In total, over 200 artists are booked for 2005. Two main stages cater to Trance, House, Techno, Breaks, DnB & Jungle with smaller sub stages providing hardcore, psychedelic and ambient beats to complete the full spectrum of electronic dance sounds.

Traveling to WEMF each year has become the thing to do for those who want an experience of a lifetime. In the past decade, well over 100,000 people have experienced the WEMF phenomenon. License plates from 20 states and 5 provinces were observed last year and buses were chartered from across the Northeast. If electronic music is your thing then this is your event!

DJs WANTED: WEMF 2005 New Talent Tent
We are happy to welcome back the New Talent Tent to WEMF2005. If you are interested in getting an hour to showcase your talent at the largest event of its kind in North America then put together a phat demo tape, CD or DVD and send it along with WEMF2005 advance ticket proof of purchase (ie. photocopy clearly showing ticket number or Ticketmaster/Tripledecks.com confirmation code in your name) to: WEMF2005 New Talent Tent, 45 Harbour Square, Box 81035, Toronto, Ont. M5J 2V3. All those selected to perform in the New Talent Tent will have their advance ticket purchase REFUNDED at the gate upon entry.

We are looking for all types of electronic dance music, so whether you play acid jungle with a tranced out bassline, hardhouse ambient or anything in between, we wanna hear it!

Selected artists will have their names posted on the official WEMF website (www.wemf.com), and listed in the official event program handed out to everyone who comes through the gates WEMF2005 weekend.

Dude, just show up and go. Ull meet a crap load of TAs to hang w/ im sure, and if not, trust me, EVERYONE generally is so friendly.

I arrived alone, was going w/ 2 friends from TO who were coming seperately. When I got there i of couse took out my tent and all that shit and was like, man, its way more fun setting up and stuff when u have help, etc.

Im not trying to get my tent up like freakin' 4 MINS, when a whole group of ppl come over and ask if i want a hand! It was so kind of them, considering i didnt even know them, nor them me.

One of those ppl, Andie (Andielips here on TA). CHEERS TO YOU GIRL, that was so awesome and appreciated. We ended up partying and socializing together with the same group of peps the whole weekend (god bless those Dirty Jersey kids... hey Andie... u know if any of them are on the board Id love to get in contact w/ those guys again! Had an awesome time w/ them!)

Generally, the vibe at wemf is so friendly and helpfull. Even if you go solo, i highly doubt ud end up chilling or partying solo. ull make amazing friends and just genreally have a blast bc wemf is the best event all year around we have here in Ontario IMHO. Theres no party i look forward to more!

I'm a househead myself, but I'm still going to WEMF. The music doesn't really matter, it's more the experience. I had so much fun last year, and none of the DJs I would have gone to see at a club if they were in Toronto.
