Any Speed DJs?
Anyone like to speed music up when in the mix here?
Personnally im sick of people call me cheese cause i speed up tracks
Just wondering what are your thoughts on speeding tracks up?, as this is a DJ forum
thx
I try to keep my mixes between 132-138 maybe up to 140 towards the end of the set. Pitching up tracks isn't cheese. If a track is cheese then its cheese at 0 pitch too.
well, when people speed every thing up like my friend, he does vocal trance tunes around +12, That, in my opinion, is annoying, but pitching isnt bad, some tracks need to be sped up
my set right now requires me to speed up one or two tracks, in order for the next incoming one not to be slowed down(to the point of it sounding like shit).
a little bit doesn't hurt, a lot can be noticeable and tacky
Speed is good to add energy, but sometimes, too much speed it too much. Once it's too fast to dance with at a comfy cadence, then it's fast enough and needs some breathing space... less pitch, plz!!!
heh. i spin a small collection of freeform and hardcore. sounds great at +6 on 33 spd. sounds better at -4 on 45 spd. sounds great at +4 on 45 spd.
i guess its nature of hardcore that the faster and more stupid it sounds - the better it is. oh yeaaaaaaa.
When i get bored i like to speed things up... just too see how different it will sound and for a bit of a laugh... I just change the pitch settings to about 25% and see what happens... As far as ever doing it normally in a set its not really my thing
the important thing to remmber is that the ppl come to dance if u can pitch up (faster) and still make it danceable then just do it and see what happens

Don't really pitch up or down that match try to keep it natural.
