hunting is stupid...

so i fell asleep on my couch last night and i wake up this morning and there is this hunting show on. omg it's so laughable how imbred white trash these dudes were. by the end of the show of course the dude kills this elk and he's all crying and shit talking about how this is such a great moment

then during the commercials they of course are advertising all the products and they are just funny. they'll have like a bird call commercial and the slogan will be something like "so realistic...it's almost unfair" and then un ammuniciation commercial that'll say something like "what america shoots"...

just completely ridiculous...if you like hunting...i dunno...

tbh jason, i think it's a language problem if u get me, we don't use white trash or anything here as those who hunt are the posh people, so imo it's just an american/english misunderstanding, cos i dont think u meant it in a racist way did u ?

the only time i ever hear "white trash" is when black people use it as a racist term towards white people. i hope u didnt mean it in that sense, but i dont understand how it can be used in any other context.

hmmmm its quite a common term, its like the term redneck, etc theres no real racism there.

As far as i'm concerned, it doesn't really have racist connatations. It's more to do with their behavioural traits, clothes, way of speaking etc.....

Anyway back on-topic: hunting is lame. A couple of weeks ago there was something on tele about british 'hunters'. Basically they sat on there horses while 20-25 dogs were chasing a wolf. 'So you will never stop hunting' 'Never, this sport means to much for me'. Lol, stupid morons.

see there is an interesting difference though here....

from what i've seen...british hunting is something that involves the higher classes and nobility...

while in america...it has always been embraced by predominantly the lower class...

Yeah nobility, lol that dosent change anything... plus hunting with 20-25 dogs is not hunting to me, lol. Come on its like raiding a shack with a bomber.

hunting is a sport for everyone. hunting isnt just shooting animals its the whole social thing around it... its for all social classes i think. except that the higher classes sit in helicopters/ have helicopters looking for their animals :P

And I dont understand why they are proud.. I mean if they would attack an elephant with harpoons, etc then maybe (if they dont die) they could feel it was a challenge. But killing a dear with a fucking rifle is not very difficult...

Oh, you mean Fox hunting. And its more like 40 Horsemen + 75 or more (up to 200) Beagles (a type of dog) chase and kill a Fox. TV programs make it out to be worse than it really is. I live in the countryside and there are fox hunts that go on about 5 miles away from me. It is a very debated matter, this is a way of pest control been done for hundreds of years (since 1500's) but newer generations see it as barbaric. I agree the fox numbers need to be kept down in some places, but this is a cruel way to do it.

Beleive me! in my class for Animal management we have half the class who like horses and come from a farming/countryside background who are pro-hunt. Then we have the other half from Towns and citys who are animal lovers and hate fox hunting..... If anyone whispers "Fox hunting" in our class....War breaks out

Yes, hunting is stupid. It's boring and too easy. If you hunted with a spear or something and actually tracked animals rather than sitting in one place waiting for them to come to you then it might be more interesting.
