I might still be in Europe for that weekend and go there. Then leave on the 7th or 8th. Looks too amazing to miss

Posted by jester on Mar-06-2005 15:16:

Would be so nice to go.

Tickets to fly there is expensive. KLM like the cheapest and direct flight to Amsterdam ($2465/person) Then after find a place to say for 3 days. It be anywhere from 300$-1200$ extra for 3 days in a hotel.

I dont remember the food costing that much in Amsterdam when i went last April.

haha trust me its a lot cheaper than that to fly there. And you can always get a ticket to paris or frankfurt and then take a quick train to amsterdam.

London to Amsterdam (round trip) is $182.37 CAD (British Airways). Then need to find a way back home. Montreal to London (round trip) is $1111.81 CAD (BMI).

Best i could find.

I don't know for the moment. I'm waiting a bit to see the ta-fr initiatives I'll maybe join them for the hosting... I LOVE camping, but in such events i'm afraid there will be some thieves...

Yeah thats almost sure + If you wanna survive the 3 days, staying in a tent might not be the best idea.

Hotel room with 4 people or more would probably be the better choice.

Well hmmm hot all day in the crowd, hot all night outside in the summer, probably hard to get a shower, and getting some rest will be practically impossible im sure Still could be cool tough. But yeah I'd be pretty afraid of thieves too... maybe leave all your stuff in a locker somewhere and only bring a few clothes.

Not that expensive

I went to Amsterdam last year for Labour Day weekend. Around Sept 3 to 7 or something like that. Direct flight via Air Transat was $850. We booked about a month in advance but last minute within the last week they were dumping the flight for around $600. There are lots of options but you should be able to get there for around $800. Last resort take a charter to London for around $600. Then you can easily take a local euro airline for less than $200 return from London.

That line-up looks amazing. I'll have to try and make it there this year. Last year I went to The PowerZone (www.thepowerzone.nl) and it was incredible. Checked out DJ Gizmo. Insane!
