Oh yeah people. It's On.

awesome!
i definitely think we should nail down the lineup and maybe try to get some flyer-age in the next day or two. if were shootin to make X amount of money its definitely in our interest to get the word out on your campus and around the area about the event.
edit: ok, so this is the list of djs i got from the other thread, is this accurate?
tyler c

and post your dj name here if its different from your user name.
edit #2: just fixed the dj list
I'm not DJing....I suck. I'll be listening to some demos w/ crrrazydan and we'll figure out a line-up. There are some DJs here that want to play so we need to narrow it down a little bit. We'll try and give everyone an opportunity if we can but we will just have to see.
We're looking at getting some fliers printed. We can get them for free from clubfliers.com if they print their logo on the back. I personally don't have a problem with this.
yea i was gonna suggest clubfliers.com
its a cool concept and pretty quick from what i can tell. let me know the lineup asap and i'll see if i can whip together a flyer, or anyone else for that matter.
My brother's really good with 3D Studio Max and Photoshop/Illustrator so I'll talk to him about it.
Alrighty, I'm going to be evaluating the lineup for the event. I'm stoked that so many DJ's that I'm sure have a lot of talent volunteered, well... before there was even a venue.
ALL PROSPECTIVE DJ'S
Please send all demo mixes to me, and I will give them all a listen along with phreek. I listen to all types of EDM, (for this event, trance/prog/house/techno/electro) so I hope to have a solid and varied lineup.
You can send your latest mix to me with a PM or a post containing a link to your mix online. Or, you can send it to me on AIM my screenname is also crrrazydan. Either way an accompanying tracklist is preferred.
Right now we're thinking hour and a half sets. Also, none of the DJ's can be paid for this event. Maybe if we get a great response with this event, the next event will have large amounts of cash flowing to all those who lend their talent.
I can't wait to hear what the evening will shape up to sound like!
Great to see this is coming together nicely. To address everything in 1 post:
-Wolverine16 = Andy Olinski
-As far as a demo, I'll record some of what I'm thinking about playing late tonight (depending on when I finish homework) and post it on my makeshift website in case anyone needs to hear something prior to the date. I really don't want the first thing I recorded after getting my decks to be representative of what I'd be playing.
-Is the money for the venue already covered? I just want to confirm in case we should all chip in.
-Phreek, you're not going to spin now? You're putting a lot of effort into this, I think you should at least spin a few tracks you know well, even if just for practice.
-Last item: Let me know when you have fliers and I'll try to pass them out at some shows here, lots of good opportunities to do so with the great lineup at Soundbar this month and a couple good Vision dates.
shit..I only live 90 minutes from Lafayette, but I have to work that weekend.
Depending on what my schedule is i may be able to make it
Drew and I will probably make an appearance.
Maybe we'll bring along a few others.

I don't have a demo hosted anywhere, but I'll try to hit you up on AIM later. It's by no means perfect, but you'll get the idea.

Demo's for me here:
http://www.djrjt.com
I'm not exactly thrilled with the quality of all of them, but they're all live so you can get an idea of my strengths (few) & weaknesses (many)...
Prog. Thought would be a good one to start with just because I think I am most happy with the way that one turned out, but the other two should be pretty decent as well, the only real bombs I remember are like the first two mixes on "One For You," but I am particularly happy with the way like the last 40:00 of that one went...
Hopefully those cut the mustard for ya... Cheers,
RJT
EDIT: Just spoke with the Phreekster to get everything sorted out exactly, Midwest TA party here we go!
Hey. Where do I send a demo if I would like to play at the party? If you could please e-mail me some info I would appreciate it. Ill be able to bring a lot of people if I'm spinning because I know tons of people at Purdue. Send me a PM or just respond back with any info please. Thanks.

My short demo recorded tonight is linked in my sig if anyone wants to check it out. Crrrazydan, you have been PMed.
EDIT: I will try to fix the EQ on this soon, the bass is way too high and the volume is a bit low at places, but right now at least it gives a general idea.
I may just have to head on up there

OK, everything should be set to go... and for the record my name is neither rturn214 or RJT, it's Rob Turner
And to Andy: The deposit on the venue is covered, the rest has to be paid after the event, which (Hopefully) we make the night of... this is at least the detail given to me...
Peace, Cheers,
RJT
We hope to have the line-up finalized and fliers ordered by the end of the week. In order to do this we need all demos ASAP. Thanks guys.
