fruityloops.org has a partial, manual you can download in pdf format. I beleive with registration, or a fee, you can download the entire manual.
I still use 2.7, and just playing with it worked better than the manual.
this is what I think:
fruityloops is a program that isn`t good cause you can`t get a professional sound out of it...... no matter what you do, you can`t get a sound that`s really good..... you can make some nice melodies or beats with it, but it just don`t sound professional......
you should try reason...... i have a demo and that program just kicks ass man! the only thing is that i cant get the full version (2 CD`s) of it
ok, that was my opinion.... (don`t make a discussion of it pleaze
)

Anyway, here's the manual:

Play with it!
I dled FL3 the other day... AWESOME! program. I'm a long-time user of the ACID series, and also EJay but wanted something with some decent presets that I could use to tweak and make some decent ORIGINAL stuff with, not put together a jigsaw puzzle of a track with pre-recorded loops. ACID and Ejay are cool, but they're just painting-based sequuencing machines. I'm not knocking them, they both have their place, but FL3 more suits my needs :-)
As for how to use it, they have an online manual and several starter loops for you to get a feel for the program... it took me a while to realize that in order to get the playlist to 'work' you have to check 'song', which reverts from the individual patterns to the playlist. It's truly an awesome program and has limitless potential - the only limit is your imagination. I say listen to Tiesto, AVB, PVD to get a 'feel' for the general style... I'm somewhat musically inclined, so it makes it easier!
At the end of the day, you just gotta sit down at the computer for a day and just play! Once you've got the basics, everything else is just a matter of tweaking parameters.
FL3 truly does kick royal ass :-)
