i hear pete tong in van is $50

somehow im glad i live in calgs nothing goes above like 20

I think I read somewhere that this is an all ages, all nite event (that'll explain the price) ??

Posted by kanadianiceman on Mar-09-2005 19:25:

no way, if it were all ages there would be more going, hence lower ticket price.

also i think it is because places like calgary and edmonton cannot get higher ticket prices so van has to take the fall (sorry guys)

when seb and jules were here that ticket was like 15

Posted by AquaYak on Mar-09-2005 19:31:

its all ages, all night. the venue supports only 1200 people. This price is a bit high but a typical price for a rave at this venue with this caliber of a headliner.

Was that show on a Fri or Sat nite?

Also, I see that Tong is playing Edmonton (sorry, typed as Calgary initially, d'oh!) on March 20, which is a Sunday nite .. that'll partially explain why it's cheaper than Van, as Van has him playing on a Saturday nite (small venue too)?

Bah, what do I know!

Anyhow, the price must be right for Benassi in Van, as he was here just recently @ the Red Room last fall ..

all shows are either sunday or wensday here in calgs unfortunatley, the djs usualy hit edmonton, vancover, or somewhere in the US, then come to calgary, were are usualy at the end of a tour in our area,

then again if they were on the day of a good friends funeral im sure we'd all head to the club anyways.

as for the 20th its digweed that is here.
i shall be hittin that for sure

so are they gonna have locals play the main room and the 2nd room? cause yeah, thats not a whole lot of DJs to cover 2 rooms at an all-night event

i don't know about bennassi since i never heard him play, but my friends and i were not impressed with dj eva when she opened for tiesto in seattle.

Very trancey lineup for a house headliner?

Posted by rev on Mar-10-2005 00:55:

I thought eva is good, seen her a couple times. Nice person too. Chloe from Seattle used to be dope when she used to be play breaks, now she is more into the prog

I opened up for Benny last year and I was playing progressive trance and eventually built up to Benjamin Bates/Marco V/Sebastian Ingrosso style house... worked out pretty good...
