Irish accent

OK, so I'm in a small play at my school, and it sort of requires me to speak my lines in my best Irish accent. I know there are different regions that speak it different, but could anybody give me some basic things to keep in mind. Like how to sound out vowels and what doesn't work. Or I can try to mimick Collin Farrel the best I can.

hmmmm I dislike the Irish accent - Northern Irish accent is far better..... I can e-mail you a few soundclips that I found if oyu want - just PM me
