Exclamation Possibly the best trance tune ever.

When my 15 year old brother died about a year ago, I had to do much of the organising for his funeral. When it came to the church arrangments, the viccar asked me to pick 3 of his favourite songs that would be played at the start, middle, and end of the service.
My brother was really into R&B/hip hop etc. The 3 songs I chose were:

Usher - Burn
Ludacris - Stand Up (thats right, in a church, his friends loved it)
Puff Daddy - I'll Be Missing You

Anyway, this has been playing alot on my mind recently, what 3 songs would I want played at my funeral? I've only yet to find 2.
The first would obviously be Delerium - Silence, the second would be this one which I think could possibly be the best trance tune ever.

Ayumi Hamasaki - M (Above and Beyond Remix).

If you have'nt heard this song before, I strongly suggest you find it, also has an awesome video. I can upload it to somewhere but I'm not sure what the rules are on this forum.

I've yet to find the third song, any suggestions? I'm not planning on dying anytime soon, being the music fan I am this just means alot to me.

i think there was a thread kinda like this before "music that you would like to hear when you die." good stuff, but for me, itd be Planet Perfecto - Not Over Yet

if you'd asked a year ago, i would have said ferry's mix of adagio, but it's lost it's feeling somewhat for me now with all the mixes of it

probably would pick...
gouryella - tenshi
cosmicman - i love you
solar stone - 7 cities (atlantis mix)

and as a reserve...
alex d'elia vs ebop allstars - isn't life wonderful

bit of a clich but hopefully would make people think

+ sorry about your brother mate, 15 years young is hardly a life. hope you are ok

Knew it first time I heard it
Envio - Time To Say Goodbye

I like that song : alex d'elia vs ebop allstars - isn't life wonderful

For me though - Gouryella - Tenshi
Hybrid - Finished symphony
DJ Sakin - Nomansland - (Lange mix)
Digital Control - Dreams Last for Long

And recently - Probspot - Blueberry

Btw sorry about your brother mate. That song you mentioned is very good, nice style by Above and Beyond. Very driving

Tiesto - Suburban Train (Original)
Conjure One feat. Sinead O'Connor - Tears from the Moon (Tiesto ISOS Remix)
Perpetuous Dreamer - The Sound of Goodbye (Armin Van Buuren's Rising Star Mix)

Actually, I would err away from 4/4 tracks for a funeral. They seem horribly out of place to me, almost irreverent.

Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim
Enya - Storms In Africa
Chicane - Offshore (Original Mix)

Definitely subject to change.

Is there an ambient of Orbital - Halcyon?

Jesus fucking christ, dance music on a funeral? No thank you. It's depressing to even be thinking about it in the first place, but whatever.

Even on a thread like this you can't help but be a prick. Seriously - you need to wise up.

BTW - Enya - May It Be - would be good. Would have everyone in tears

*whine whine whine*

Yeah, expressing an opinion is a horrible attitude. Comments like that are what start the flame wars in the first place.

I would stray away from 4x4 beats but whatever you deside.
at my funeral i would have:
Samual Barber - "Adagio for strings"
Rank 1 feat. Shanokee - "Such is life" (Sunday Afternoon Rework)

Posted by Ory on Mar-12-2005 03:03:

Yeah, I'm sad because I don't wanna hear thumping fag-ass epic trance beyond the coffin when I die.

Lamer.
