Push - The Legacy (Club Mix)
Pulser - Cloudwalking (2005 Remake)

and a jan johnston tune.

thats all i can ID last night.

Posted by rayray on Mar-12-2005 18:59:

yeah awesome night but a little bit too altered (alcohol and bud do not mix very well). nice to finally meet Commisad and Bryan, good to see Mark there and also DT was busy running around. crowd was good but where are all the girls?? anyway misja nice set!!

Posted by mikefasssy on Mar-12-2005 19:45:

stopped in for a bit, heard the above and beyond mix of silence (pretty sure, current trance knowledge is quite limited).

oh yeah forgot about that one. i saw him pull it out of the record sleeve myself.

Posted by loogie on Mar-12-2005 20:54:

only thing i remember that wasnt already mentioned is Cosmic Gate Feat Jan Johnson - I Feel Wonderfull (From AM To PM Mix)

*edit*

oh wait it was mentioned, sorta :P

Posted by apri_peel on Mar-12-2005 21:58:

filo and peri - closer now (original mix, i think)
the thrillseekers - new life (lange remix)
armin vs mike - intruder

misja started off proggy, very slow, then built up his set very nicely. perfect track selection, perfect mixing. naz was joking its cause misja's dutch heh

last night was probably the biggest TA turn out ive seen at viva. hope to see you all back on thursday for the TA night

Posted by ten7ryder on Mar-12-2005 22:38:

it was indeed a good night.... good music selection, good mixing and best of all, I got to meet a few TAs like Sean, Elena, Vlado, Neoh.
it was nice meeting all of you. hope to see you guys soon.

Cosmic Gate ft Jan Johnston - I feel Wonderful (From AM to PM Mix)

Delerium ft Sarah McLahlan - Silence (some newer remix)
Hydroid - Burn Proof
Oliver Prime - Mind Games (Danjo & Styles)

He started the night with:
Alucard pres the 49th Line - Blue on Blue (Original Dub)

(YES ANGELO, i messed up IDing TWICE, wasn't octagen, obviously, and wasn't hyrdoid - no vocals - hence the dub!)

Might have heard:
Misja Helsloot vs Daniel - Goes Flat (Miika Kuisma Mix)

His mixing was incredible

The whole CDJ effects and crazy stuff all night long

One of the best DJs Ive ever seen live

It wasnt Push - The Legacy
it was Fractal Structure - Natural Signs, just has basically the same melody.

trust me on this one. it was an old bonzai records label on the record not to mention i saw the sleeve right behind him. its push.

Posted by Tayfoon on Mar-13-2005 00:57:

I know it was the Fractal Structure track because Misja often plays it, and I recognize the Fractal Break beat module

Posted by apri_peel on Mar-13-2005 02:06:

couldve been both, i noticed misja played around with tracks like play two together, and since these two are similar he couldve tried to confuse us

Posted by neoh on Mar-13-2005 02:48:

You also missed Firewall - Killamenjaro after Silence (a&b remix)

Damn fine set, certainly enjoyed myself.

nice meeting the new TAers.. Mortyman, etc.

Not a bad turnout I must say.

Lost Sequence was very Pusheqse as well!

Posted by christofa on Mar-13-2005 06:39:

besides pvd, was one of the best sets i've heard live. His mixing was killer too. Great night

Sorry Timur, but it was The Legacy!!! There's no mistaking it, if anyone knows that track, you're talking to him

Everything else I agree with you! OUTSTANDING!

I said it before and I'm going to stick to it... Misja Helsloot is the next Johan Gielen!

I remember hearing the following
Pulser - Cloudwalking 2005
Push - Legacy
Delerium - Silence (a&B Remix)
Thrillseekers - New Life (Lange remix)
Armin vs M.I.K.E. - Intruder
Cosmic Gate ft Jan Johnston - I feel Wonderful (From AM to PM Mix)
and for some reason I thought I heard Fictivision & Phynn - Escape
maybe remember more later.

and not sure if I should say anything, but... Misja, from all of us here at Tranceaddict, we're sorry for the circumstances that occured last night, and be assured that the next time you visit this beautiful city, you will be treated like royalty, as you should have been in the first place

haha chris, you must be trippin. i wish he did play it though.

Posted by Mortyman on Mar-13-2005 07:01:

Maybe Bryan played it? But I swear I heard a tune that sounded alot like it... atleast structurally, but all I could think was Escape (Phynn Mix)

... but I could be trippin

couldnt disagree more. hes the opposite:

gielen: big head dj, cant mix, but great productions

misja: strong mixer, mmore down to earth, but yet to prove himself as the same category of producer.

Just FYI. Johan = Bad dj. good track selections. Bad mixing.

Posted by Mortyman on Mar-13-2005 07:23:

You assume that I refer to him as a DJ only

I'm talking about what he'll do for our scene. And I can't believe you think Johan Gielen is a bighead DJ? C'mon Sean, you're smarter than that! I met Johan in Toronto about 4 years ago, and it was his very first time in Canada. Played the exact atmosphere and everything to Misja, and Johan, like Misja, sat around and had drinks with people at the bar. He didn't even sit down once, just stood there and talked to people.

Johan is also the type of guy to invlove himself in the party! I remember IMF 2 years ago, while Dumonde was rockin tha joint, I stand and look around, and there's Johan just walking throught the crowd with the hugest grin on his face. Nobody recognized him and he didn't give a shit. I turned, shook his hand and told him what a great set, and he thanked me and put his finger to his mouth gesturing to be quite, but then he says he didn't want to be recognized, he wanted to enjoy the party

and I agree, Misja is a 10x's better DJ

Posted by Tayfoon on Mar-14-2005 01:34:
