Afterlife bouncer shot in the leg

Club district bouncer shot in leg
Witnesses heard three shots

TORONTO STAR STAFF

A 31-year-old bouncer was shot in the leg after gunfire erupted overnight at Afterlife nightclub on Adelaide St. near University Ave.
Police say witnesses heard three gunshots fire inside the downtown nightspot at about 2:55 a.m. after a fight broke out.

The Afterlife doorman, who was shot in the lower left leg, was taken to St. Michael's hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Another bouncer was also slightly injured after being hit in the face and head.

Police are still trying to identify several people who left the club in a hurry after the incident, and are believed to have been involved in the fight.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS

Yeah but a dance night is a hell of a lot different than a hip hop night. You'd never see me go near afterlife on the weekend but i'll be there next wednesday.

PS: this is why hip hop sucks. Not only does it suck but it potentially ruins it for everyone else as well.

hip hop nights are crap. So if Boa had a shooting on a hip hop night would that stop everyone from going there on an electronic night? Just wondering.

I think people over react a little too much sometimes with statements like "im never going there because of such and such". You have to be smart about it.

Now that everyone relates this place with DANGER at all times, it's stock just went way down. A club owners nightmare.

They had a nother huge fight again on a Friday night(it was asian night) afew months back,the bouncer got stabbed by a piece of nail and his back got ripped open by a box cutter and another boucner was put in a corner and was getting beer bottles thrown at him from everywhere

......yeah - we were there on wednesday night for Why not Wednesdays - with Jay moore- Mark Oliver - and I do remeber a while back there being something else that happened there- it was Some time ago - in Novemeber not last year - the year before -(oh yeh it was Nov1st for my friend Tanya birthday and it was the next night after halloweiners!)- I was at La Rouge across the way, and there were sOOOOOOOOOOOOO many piggie sprinkles there at the scene !!! and two men being put into EMS vehicles and other men escourted out and men being handcuffed!

scary shizzle if you ask me!

Anyways - it could be a nice place - if violence didn't follow!

well they guy who had the gun was a friend of a bouncer inside thats why he never got searched. and the person that got shot was NOT a bouncer,It was one of the people inside the club.
