Songs With Curses @$#%!

For some reason I love a song that curses profusely like star 69 or fuck the millenium. I know its a cheesy hook to get people to remember the song or something but what the fffff___. To me it gives a track a rugged appeal that you really only hear at a club or something.

My Fav is the one the goes "why does this shit happen...every fucking day".I hear it all the time but don't know the ID on it.

Norman Bass - How U Like Bass

The @&*#*@# is censured though.

Posted by Coup on Nov-13-2001 19:27:

well personally i think songs that swear are used as u said to remember the track as swear words stick as it makes the song stand out more from its competion, but its also used where they cant think of a proper word, take norman cook, none of his tracks are real quality and he uses swear words as he cant think of real vocals.

How about DJ Nosferatu - The Prayer. Yeah it's not really trance but it has a lot of angry words!

Posted by biznology on Nov-14-2001 05:17:

If you think about everyone that makes trance -'the trance scene'- and then what fatboy has accomplished, i would almost venture to say that is true(80%). there are so many bogus trance producers out there, and cook can make almost any type of tune and have some not only be succesful in the scene (star 69) AND successful as pop music (weapon of choice) he ends up not quite looking like the joker you make him out to be. he is definitely talented, and as far as i know (im not a big fatboy fan) he has only had 2 songs with fuck in the vocals, and i think this is just something he pulls on his albums as sort of a joke...because no matter how much you hate him, you KNOW hes made some songs with catchy/good vocals in the past.

im just waiting for someone to come in here and tell us all that swearing is bad and they dont do it because its unintelligent...ill show em swearing!! j/k late/

and i got no clue? lol, whatever dude.

and going on what biznology said, norman cook doesnt make quality tracks, me makes total structureless noise, look at weapon of choice, wtf is going on there? theres no structure, no real sounds, no nothing, its like listening to two bands playing over the top of each other. ill be honest, i did like "right here right now" but thats the only half decent one hes done!

Well ... there's always 'Caravan of Love'

Posted by Kia Kaha on Nov-14-2001 10:28:

Actually, to be fair, the man may be an arse but that video he did for his most recent single was piss funny ... can't even remember the song name now but it has that 'push the tempo' sample and all these wack caribbean hillbillies trashing everything ... bloody amusing viewing.

LOL..u use the same arguments trance-haters do. Who said that "us tranceaddicts" are more tolerant towards other genres...?
by the way, ..it's a pleasure to make you ppl laugh here, it's healthy after all!
Keep Smiling

I seem to remember that Rachel Auburn - Mother****** had a naughty word or two.

Posted by Paul Wilson on Nov-14-2001 14:11:

I see tunes with swearing in them as really lame crap that 12 year olds will listen to just for the sake of making themselves look "bad". If all you can do to make your tune catchy is add swearing there is something far wrong.

My number one hate of all time is DJ Aligator Project "Lollipop". It's the ugliest track ever! Not just this, every one of DJ Aligator Project's tracks have somesort of joke about sex or swearing in them over absolutely horrible, simple, really cheesy melodies. If there was one artist I could kill in the Music Industry it would be DJ Aligator Project and anyone who had anything to do with it.

If your music has swearing in it it 99% of the time means it's trash despite a few exceptions!
