20 cents TDK cds ??????? I WANT !!!!!!! WHERE CAN I GET ??????

and yes i do back up ONLY my Trance mp3s , i have exactly 30 cds now

Posted by mtguru on Nov-14-2001 02:11:

I just to add to that question. For the people who have more than 20gigs of mp3's, how do you back them up? I can't see burning all of that music, or do you?

Posted by Agent_WD40 on Nov-14-2001 04:05:

I back up 90% of my music. Just spend an little time every week or two burning the latest stuff I've gotten. I currently have 42 mp3 CD's and a spare 20 gig hard drive that I was using (full now). I would go postal if I were to loose all my mp3's without having them backed up.

i backup everytime i get 650 or 700 megs of trance mp3s or videos. i currently have 22 trance videos cds and 50+ mp3cds.

Posted by TeKnoHe@d2025 on Nov-14-2001 04:27:

Yep, I backup my MP3s now after I've gone through 2 hard drives and lost every single one I had on my second one. I usually back them up once I get a cd or 2 worth. I have a single MP3 folder and in there I create seperate folders and label them like (MP3s 11.12.01) so I know what songs I have on what CDs (because I label the CDs the same way).

i dont really back up my singles. ive got about 15 cds with about 6-7 sets or albums on each. and a myplay locker with about 100 singles. i dont listen to half the stuff ive got anyways

Posted by Pointy on Nov-14-2001 06:36:

yea seein i only have a 4.3gig HD (im 56k so it takes a while to fill up).. whenever its full i take the HD round to a friends house and burn all the mp3s to CD... i have 14 now and growing

Posted by Coup on Nov-14-2001 07:26:

as i use the family comp with a 6gig hd, ive managed to steal one gig of it, so i download into "new", listen, either delete or move to "cdr" every 650megs i burn it and delete all in cdr, and start over, and then run that disc thro my stocker which keeps a list of every mp3 i own and on what cdr, think ive burned 13 mp3 ones, only had cable about 4 months, used to have 56k lol!

Posted by stamper on Nov-14-2001 12:12:

I burn a CD every time i download every 700 megs of trance...i dont take any risks!!!

Posted by Coup on Nov-14-2001 12:22:

i have no choice, i have to burn them or delete them, i live from my cdr's! and my mp3 player, eheh 6 gig! woooo!

Posted by x-dream on Nov-14-2001 13:26:

Yes i backup my mp3s.....I have around 95 cdroms with trance music only.....So every time my hd gets filled up....I burn it out....I have around 11 gigs to fill up...

Posted by Flippe on Nov-14-2001 13:57:

I don't back-up them but I think it is getting time to start bakuping

Posted by DJ Juno on Nov-14-2001 15:17:

i back up all my techno mp3's. got about 60 cd's. its the easiest
way to do back up.

Posted by DJ_D|ABL0_ on Nov-14-2001 16:20:

do it

Back when Napster was all the rage, I never backed up my MP3s until one day it all went Pete Tong! I lost about 4 Gigs of MP3s and its taken me a year to pick them all back up again!! Trouble is, I can't remember a lot of them, and I'll never get them back

Now I back up every 700Megs, and I've got about 15CDs.

DEFINATELY WORTH IT!

Posted by dig2k on Nov-14-2001 16:49:

Definately m8. If something really shit happened, like a full HDD crash, power surge, shitty virus or sommit, you'd kick yourself

You every tried searching for 20Gigs of MP3s on websites?

To download it all again (as one 20G file) check out these stats m8

To DL one 20Gb file **approx**

56K Modem - 46 constant days at a constant 5K/s rate
128K ISDN - 11.5 constant days at a constant 20K/s rate
512 Cable - 4.5 constant days at a constant 50K/s rate

enjoy.

Cool

Definately, ive got about 30 data cds, all mp3, not bad downloads for 56k over 3 and a bit years.

I only keep those sets (all I collect are sets and full cds, very few singles) I feel like listening to at any a given time or those that I am burning for friends on my harddrive. The rest of my music is burned out to 110+ CDs (and growing everyday : ) I have all the cd's databased so I can find any set instantly. All of the CDs are numbered and in a binder. All my music binders sit in a backpack right next to a backpack full of negatives of all my photography. This is for that rare chance there is a fire at my place. Every thing in my room can burn but if I lost my music and photographs I don't know what I'd do : )
