Talking Jesselyn: good female trance producer/DJ? (No really!)

http://www.discogs.com/artist/Jesselyn

I just caught Omnia on a recent PvD playlist, and though it rather good. Maybe she has potential? Just a tiny bit? The trance scene really needs some women on top for a change, rather than mere rent-a-vocal call girls. (Sandra excluded)

Anyone heard her spin?

havent heard her spin.. but i love omnia, tonka and fauna (the new collab shes doing with marcel woods)

she has a good sound and she is talented

behind the decks? i dunno but i would love to see her live simply due to her production talent

Wouldn't we all

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Mar-15-2005 10:14:

ya and she's pretty smoking

tiesto played the tech trance of omnia for a while now, good stuff. Her new work with Marcel Woods is good also.

I'd rather find out if she actually produces her tunes herself, first.
Her tracks sound awfully like they are produced by Michel Pollen (Silicon Recordings/ Silverblue, Syntone, etc)

someone should look up mr. sam's studio

i wanna see her spin topless kplz.

Posted by Zombie0915 on Mar-15-2005 18:49:

sandra collins uses NC as her friggin honey hole, coming here all the damn time filling up clubs with her retarded sound. Yet strangely, no other trance musician can seem to get a decent booking(except the extremely rare superstars that come through on ocasion)

that tune is pretty cool, I wouldnt want to see her without clothes though, cuz she looks strangely similar to my mom

Trance needs a Misstress Barbara or Lisa Lashes. Sandra was the last one that even came close, but she spun off into progressive, and never really had a solo production career for that matter.

im not so sure. all these genres need *real* female djs. not just ones that look nice and spin crap. mistress barbara makes me want to vomit, even if i dont dislike techno. dj irene is a shame to her supposed genre.

it does suck as most females need to be either A)hotter or B)WAAYY more talented than males to get into the scene. that doesnt make the music worthwhile tho. sandra was hailed as a savior a long time ago and her shows have been subpar. (not to mention the peeps that have seen her roll while performing, alright - but take your fucking sunglasses off!)

hotness is something i enjoy, but i dont think that every new dj needs to be the hotness figurehead of their supposed genre. just get someone out there that can play and/or produce|

I bought Omnia vinyl and I'm waiting the Flora/Fauna of here vs marcel woods...
both amazing!
she is really a good tech trance producer

Posted by Cobalt on Mar-15-2005 23:42:

I'd much rather see her in leather whipping the crap out of you all than doing cutesy bottom play for your pleasure.

(I'm referring to the need for women to stand their own in the trance scene.)
