not quite sure what to do..(female and male opinions needed)

im at jc penney buying pants, the girl that is ringing me up "seems" (kinda got that vibe) to like me. so i say screw it, and i got her phone number and told her that we could hang out this weekend. she sounded really interested. this was on monday night. i called wednesday, left her a voicemail for her to call me back, etc. she hasnt called back yet. should i just forget about it, or do girls have a buffer zone as to when they can call back, etc (like the 3 day rule). what do you all think??? calling her again seems like it would be pretty pathetic.
