Padre Island: Univ. of Texas vs. Oklahoma Univ.???
I went to Padre Island this week for Spring Break with some friends of mine from UT, and let me tell you that there were people getting shot at and stabbed! Of course, they dont show you that on the news.
Just a story...
I stayed at a hut with my friends on the island from Sunday to Friday morning. The whole "OU vs. UT" started when three of the football players were fighting with two others from OU. That was on Sunday night. Monday morning at around 4am, I hear someone trying to break in the hut through one of the 4 doors provided in the hut. I woke up alarmed by the sounds, and knew that someone from OU was trying to f*ck with us. So I grabbed one of the Corona bottles from the night before that was in the trash can and walked up to where the ruckus had started. Not only did I see one guy trying to break in the hut, but I saw three more drunk guys getting ready to set the hut on fire!!!
I busted through the door and pushed one guy that had his lighter and motor oil in handy. The others saw mw pushing the dude and deciced to attack me. One of them broke a Budweiser bottle on my head, and the others were tryong to pin me down so they can f*ck me up. Not 10 seconds had passed by when the police decided to show up. I got up and broke the bottle of Corona I had in my hands and stabbed one of the guys on the arm.
After several wounds and scars, arguments and fights around the hut, the cops questioned me about what had happened.
That following day we got news that one of the cops had died in a gun shot rage that erupted between one of the same guys from the Monday night scene at our hut.
No matter what the f*ck they say, the football team at University of Texas is better, faster, and stronger!!
OU SUCKS!!

you were part of that? i live in mcallen, and yes, that was on the news. of course, thats all the news around here can do is report on what you crazy kids get into at the island. Your sad stories are my entertainment and consolation prize for not being there.
i got tired of driving down there every year to see the same shit going on. My last time I went down there and stayed for any long period of time the huge fight broke out in front of the radisson where everyone was throwing full cans of beer up in the air and they were falling in the crowd and busting people on the heads, knocking teeth out, hitting girls - i had enough.
yea dirk, i remember that week! that was bad! but this was something ill never forget. bad bad bad!

i have no respect for someone who kills a cop.... that guy im sure had a family. just doing his job and some worthless piece of shit thinks he's some kind of badass. i don't know - spi gets more and more ghetto every year and unfortunately, half the time is because of the locals.
