Review: Demi@BOA REDUX Anniversary Party

HOLY SHIT!



Demi literally destroyed the club. Built the set very well, with a nice chilled set at the beginning, and then slowly upped the tempo...beat by beat. And the best part was, the club wasn't packed. It was just right, could've maybe used a bit more people but overall it wasn't something that affected the experience.

almost came out to this. I drank for free at the maddy beforehand, but the girls I was with wanted to smoke some buddah instead, so that situation dictated that I should not see demi.

People use the word literally way to liberally these days. If he literally destroyed the club, it probably would have been on the news and Boa would exist no more ...

i was seriously contemplating weather or not to go to this, and after 9 hours of the some of the sickest beats i've heard i'm so glad i did. Demi owned every person in the club, this guy has got to be one of the most active DJ's behind the decks i've ever seen.....this guys dancing, joking around with the crowd, kissing records and everything else besides painting the walls......and the whole time not missing a beat. After seeing Lawler the night before on systems dynacord system i was able to really compare the 2 clubs sound.....boa hands down.....overall clarity, bass that feels like your kidneys gonna rupture and sheer volume are noticeably better. And to be honest with you...this set was better than Lawler's, don't get me wrong, Lawler totally pumped it, but there was just something about Demi's set that put me into overdrive all night....wicked. Met up with infinity high and blue neon.....you guys know how to throw it down something fierce.....feel free to call for a lift whenever you need one. sexyjennifer.....super nice girl to party with, not too shaby a car you drive either...lol. And as usual, started the night picking up Jeff and tore the place apart all night with him....where the hell where you in the morning....lol...
anyway, sorry about the long thread, but it was truly an amazing night....wish you could have made it out Kel....i guess we'll have to go extra hard for C&C for my birthday

well I guess I really didn't burn you that bad as it sounds you partied pretty hard.....harder than Lawler...I would have never guess Demi would have been that amazing. Don't get me wrong, he was good at NYE, but not as hard as I prefer. It's too bad I missed out on one of his better sets. Nevertheless I am glad I am waiting to get back at BOA after almost 4 months to see C&C,,,,as my very first time at boy was when these guys were there in Oct.

This is going to be one of the longest posts I have every posted on Trance Addict. I am sitting here at work this morning with one of the biggest smiles on my face. I have been to BOA a few times in the past however this Sat with DEMI was the BEST NIGHT OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!!

Demi is just incredible, he has energy to share. There were times I just had to stand there and just watch him, you will see why further in this post. Demi is absouletley fasinating from everything to his spinning to his energy that he puts into it and also the fact that he acknowledges the crowd by waving to us, bopping his head and dancing around inside the DJ booth. Everytime I looked up to see Demi there was not a moment where he just stood still.

Demi is by far one of the best DJ's I have ever watched and listened too. He played some of my favourite tracks, I don't know names but I couldn't stop myself singing to one of them.

BOA did a great job for placing the DJ booth in the center. You are right Floorwhore it brings everyone together.

The only upsetting thing was myself. I wore the wrong type of shoes and for any girl that reads this post DO NOT WEAR HEELS TO BOA!! Infact BOA should ban high heels. LOL!!

I was walking down the stairs with this really hot guy, trying to balance myself on 4 inch stilettos when I slipped and fell to the ground. I managed to recover quickly. However it hurt so much. My right ankle was bothering me the moment I fell and I was putting all my pressure on my left. When I had a moment by myself; I took of my boot in the washroom and my ankle was black/blue and started to swell.

However I couldn't leave and didn't want to leave. Demi was feeding the right music into me and giving me the energy to stay all night. I am also not one to complain. I danced on it in the beginning however a couple of hours into the night I couldn't move. I had to sit down however Demi managed to even make me shake my ass in my seat.

I want to thank one particular person who stayed with me and basically took care of me. You were the only person who witnessed the fall however I didn't want to talk about it with you or to anyone. I wanted everyone to have a good time. Not only that when you meet someone you really like and this happens it's quite embarrassing.

When I got home, my mother immediately knew something was wrong, mothers intinct I guess; she forced me to go to the hospital. I went only to make her happy; the doctor when he first looked at it
was shocked, between the colour and swelling it looked much worse then what it turned out to be and wanted an x-ray. I know I didn't break it because if I did I wouldn't have been able to put pressure on it but he said I sprained it really bad. He wrapped it up and after a good night sleep and some advil, I woke up this morning feeling better.

I must thank 5hiftn6ears, Floorwhore, and those two other guys that your with. I apologize for not knowing your names here on Trance Addict but you know who you are. I want to thank you for meeting up with me. Driving down together and making this Sat the best night of my life. I had such a big smile on my face from the moment I met you guys till the moment I left with you guys. I also met some other guys from TranceAddict who were tearing the dance floor apart, Abood, Infinity and something wave. All of you are just so fun to be with.

I can't wait for April 2/05. You guys are just awesome to party with however this time I will be wearing comfortable shoes and dancing the entire night away. You will not see me sitting down next April 2/05.

What can I say? hehe Everyone described Demi so there's no need to explain. In short, Stellar 9.5 Hour Performance by Demi. He played a wonderful hauseee music spectaticle, from the start to the end. He kept me feelin' the vibe all night long I don't remember dancing this much since 02'. Demi's got definite potential & he's a super-cool guy. I'm bond to see him whenever he comes back again. Nice meeting Sexy_Jenn & Stevie, Jeff & Pete, always a pleasure with you guys.

i read you've been to the doctor.. i had a similar thing happen to me at a rave about 4 years ago.. the most important thing to remember is to make sure you do not "walk funny"

by this i mean, don't change the way you walk because it hurts - if it hurts too much don't walk on it and if it doesn't hurt that much - make sure to walk the same way you always do - otherwise it can heal funny.

sorry to hear about it.. feet/leg injuries always suck because they hamper your ability to get around and do what you enjoy doing - but if you keep exercising and stretching and walking properly it will heal up well...

Met up with Jeff at the entrance and headed in together.

Place wasn't packed, but it wasn't empty either. It was just right!

Demi played a really good set. I enjoyed it, but after coming from 2 other parties on this night , I was beat and had to leave just after 6. Just as I was leaving, I could hear him turning it up notch. I'm sure I missed the best part of his set. Oh well, I'll catch him next time.

Also, I'd like to thank Rony for taking care of me.

Nice seeing the very few TA's that were there.

lol, pretty sure we all do man.. i was pretty looped saturday night too so it wouldn't take much - I just assumed the beat had grabbed you again and sucked you onto the dance floor.

anyone know what was up with the lounge? kenny g was droppin some really dirty stuff early on, but the lounge was closed for a while around 3am and then re-opened? Did they just hit capacity downstairs or something?

When you saw me dancing JoinT I fell before then in the beginning. After a couple hours dancing I was really feeling the pinch!!

For those who have been bugging me for my review - BE PATIENT!!! I'm working a twelve hour shift today, so i'll try to have it done by tonight!

Got there 1:20 and didnt wanna leave although i was buggin rony to keep it open till 10 which didnt happen so i had to go to Cozo, went in for 30 min the place was very skectched out that i saw one guy oding and another guy trying to push a brick wall i think he wanted more room to dance .... wow what a gr8 set amazing night although it started by me sprinning my ankle running down " nice meeting you jennifer, your not that only one who had an ankle sprain and get better soon" the stairs to hear kenny g. c ya all april 2!

When Floorwhore told me that Demi is a resident DJ at BOA! I told him to put me in the list immediatley.

Floorwhore that's a great pic you posted of him in the BOA forum. You should post that pic up in this thread because that's how I truly remember him. Demi never stopped smiling.

DEMI!! I am so HOOKED NOW!!

I want you to come back!! tommorow!! LOL!!
