CDJ-800 issue...
CDJ-800. i love it. it's my friend's. it's here in my room atm. but it has a problem. when a track is done playing out, about a second later, the CDJ will start the next track. this REALLY FUCKS YOU UP when doing long mixes, when you leave the outgoing track's fader open all the way till the end.
how do i make the CDJ-800 NOT do this? i'm pretty sure i've used others and they don't give me this.

The 800 (like most if not all Pioneer models) have autocue. What you have to do is push the "cue" button and leave it pushed until the autocue light turns on...There's no way you can miss this. If you have any other problems with the 800 PM me...Good luck!
yeah, autocue is activated. [A.CUE] appears on the display. but it's still giving me the same result.

Yes it is, the cdj800 was designed to have a lighter platter, and be closer to the true vinyl function. This the reason so many turntablists prefer to use the 800.
One of the ways they tried to make it more like vinyl is by making it so that it just keeps playing the whole cd (record) through, unless you stop it.
That 2 second pause you speak of is not the cdj, its the cd, which you burned with spaces in between tracks.
Obviously a cdj is in no way like vinyl, but regardless theres no way to my knowledge to prevent the next track from starting automatically.
Just press pause/cue.
Search pioneers forums, theres been quite a few threads about this.
Found one.

Ok...after reading that post by beats and beeps, I found out the solution to your problem.
When the 800 is on "vinyl mode", it will always start the next track even if autocue is on.
When it's on "cdj mode", it will STOP after a track is finished if autocue is on.
Try this and let me know.
woah. gotcha. still... i could've sworn i've used other CDJs in vinyl mode an this didn't happen...
ah well... that's pretty sucky tho. guess it woudl've been nice to have two types of autocue then...
