Exclamation Atmosphere Install Help

Hi All

I just recently purchased Atmosphere, my CD Rom drive is currently bust so I installed it onto my flatmates machine and then copied the files over (I know this shouldnt really be done but I gave it a go) to my machine, Cubase see the VST but Atmosphere cant load as it cant find the .DAT file (which is located in the same folder as the Atmosphere dll) just wondered if anyone knows how I can get it to find the DAT.

Im obviously gonna have to get a new CDROM drive but if its possible to fix now that would be so much easier. Any help would be awesome.

Chris

assuming ur using windows
try creating a shortcut to the .dat file from ur ../vstplugins/atmosphere directory

donno if it fix ur problem or worth a shot

that aint gonna work, u need to buy a new CD rom, as there are some registration points that are on ur mates computer, and not yours... Atmosphere will work without the library if u have the .dll file..

Nope. Your registry must point to the location of the DAT file. There is a tool to do this. All you need is the .dll and the DAT file on your comp and you can get atmo working. Gimme a PM with your e-mail, I'll send it over if you'd like.

map your friends drive as a network drive on your machine and then install it. that should work, to do that make sure file and printer sharing is enabled and then open your friends cd rom drive in there right click and hit map network drive. problem solved

Exactly. You just need to edit your registry to point to the DAT file on your machine. Since you didn't actually install it, all of the registry entries are going to be missing.
