Dateq announces new dj mixer: the Vibe
Just found this over at Gearjunkies.
The Vibe has five channels, four of which are equipped with faders. The channel without fader is meant to enable microphones or auxiliary sources to be used without occupying one of the 4 main channels.
In total 9 stereo sources and one microphone input is available. Microphone level can still be adjusted with the Gain-control, and a special Rap switch makes it possible to turn very quickly to the preset level of that channel.
The fader channels are equipped with medium length, 60 mm ALPS fader which runs extremely smoothly. The VIBE channels consist of two inputs each, so that line signals such as computer, sampler, CD or MD player can be connected as well as three turntables.
A push button next to the channel input control allows switching from input 1 to input 2, so that plugging in and unplugging equipment is a thing of the past.
The price and shipping date of the Vibe is not known yet.

Awwww...gigantic upfaders is what dateq was about!
looks like a 3rd grader drew that picture
That's........Horrible.
Yea top looking pic...*Cough*
Does not seem to look like its going to rock the mixer world... we shall see tho, dont think iam gonna rush out and trade mine in for it anytime soon

yes i agree dateq is a very very solid mixer as well as very nice and crisp sounding......also the LED 's on xtc (probably others also) are very fine and accurate....if they come out with a rotary model i would definately buy it to see what was up with it
The text has most likely been copy-pasted from the XTC specs, in other texts they even forgot to get rid of the name XTC in one sentence
Pic is ugly, also because all LED's are coloured as they're switched on.
Just wait for the real thing!

A little too colorful for my tastes..
I'd be interested in seeing/using one in action though..
how much do these mixers generally cost? They look kind of cheap and the names for these mixers are retarded....XTC? Vibe? I'm trying to figure out why Armin uses one...

| Originally posted by DannyO Yea, I've never played on one, but I have heard many things about how good the Sound Quality and Build is on Dateq mixers, especially the XTC, but as far as I'm aware, there only really available in Holland, so if you want one, you have to buy from there, I could be wrong about this though, maybe some of the neighbouring countries stock them. |
Is that so?
Better sounding than x92?...hmmm
Offtopic: Doesnt pvd also own the XTC?
