Cool Edit Pro 2 patches/update

Wondering whether anyone can help here. I use Cool Edit Pro 2 to record my mixes, and have found the software to be some what slow and buggy. So I am looking for a update/patch for this it, but Cool Edit Pro is now Adobe Audition and it's orginal update site is no longer there. Any idea where I can go to obtain the latest patch?

I am using build 2095.0 of Cool Edit Pro 2.

Is it always like that because if it's just a recent thing then a file is probably a corrupt, try re-installing the software?

Hey mate, I think it's to do with it hanging over temp files created, I think the app is trying to purge them when I exit but it somehow fails to do so.

I was hoping for some sort of www/ftp site out there which offers patches for software which has been discontinued by it's publishers.
