Support Detroit Scene

We need to start suporting our scene in Detroit more. Get out and see our local Dj's. Let's start packing our clubs so DJ's want to come to our town.

We need better clubs, or at the VERY LEAST to be more informed about the ones we have, because i know blue and the state theatre aren't all we have. I know if you browse the forums here you can find shows out...but that's not advertisement to the majority of the public who lives here.

There are also a decent amount of big names that come through here; Tiesto, Armin, Oakenfold, Sasha, G&D, and Ferry just to name a few...hell Gatecrasher even came through town! (but you know that you've been there at those with me heh) However, the clubs were less than packed, underpromoted, and if it weren't simply because it's Detroit i doubt that they would be back.

and finally, Fuck yeah! support our damn scene people. Movement (DEMF) is always a huge success thanks largly in part to Kevin Saunderson.

Hopefully that energy can eventually flow into the rest of the years club scene.

Be thankful for the clubs you have. In Indy there is only one club that plays any electronic dance music and that is just one night a week. No big names really ever come through here consistantly. Sasha and Digweed came 3 years ago and then D:Fuse came earlier this month but thats really about it. Take advantage of what you have.

There is only one club here (if you can even call it a club) and they play hiphop. Nothing else but hiphop

I love the fact that the D is getting big names but I am wishing for a bigger venue like the Guv at times. Having that much space would fuckin' rock!

If someone steped foreward with the green and made a huge club with a nice sound system, I'm sure it would do well, and djs would come to play it for sure.
