UT Austin Campus: Hotels?

I'll be in Austin on Thursday for some campus interviews. All the interviews will be held right in the Union Building.

I don't know that area very well at all and I'm trying to see if anyone has any suggestions for hotels that would be relatively close to campus/the Union Building.

Also, any good records stores I should check out while I'm down there?

stay at the best western off I-35 and Martin Luther King street other than that everything is a roach motel or expensive or too far
